• Re: Help for a student of the Bible please

I think context is invaluable here. The time Jesus ministered to the crowds, (the first part of John) turns into (like zooming in with a camera lens) the time Jesus ministered to His disciples (the second part of John) and then turns into (zoom in again) the period of time where even His ministry with His disciples was just about finished. Much - in

Hi Kevin, This is great news! I have been trying how to ease up the crowding when I have looked through too many commentaries without closing them one by one, or closing all the windows at once and starting over! Can't wait to use it! Thanks, sir! Sharon
A quick question or two since you are a busy lady. Perhaps, this should be obvious from your posts but I am unclear. Do you teach others how to do inductive study or are you teaching the results of your inductive study, on a particular book? Or, both, maybe? Second, have you actually written all of what you do down so that it
And so I assume the website Word Center Ministries is yours and I have already looked at some of your studies and I have a question for you, I looked at John, James and Romans and noticed that you don't do an overview-at least in my quick viewing of the files I didn't see that may I ask why?
Hi Kim! Yes, that is our

Thank you, sir! At least I know now it is not just that I am missing a simple little button somewhere! Confusion loves a companion!

  • Why won't my home page stay customized?

Why, when I customize my home page, does it (the next time I Logos) keep going back to some sort of a default? I only want the preferred Bible in the features catagory. And I want everything but the devotionals in the content section. This has happened for weeks and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks for any help! Sharon

I can get it to do what I want, but it just won't stay that way. Every time I open up Logos, it is back to the same default setting.
Maybe if you post your question in the Logos 4 sub forum, it will get answered by one of the power users.
Super! I don't know where that is, but I will take a look and see! Thanks, Sharon

Hi Terry, Blessed to hear about you seeking to feed God's children. I taught Precept for almost 20 years, ran out of PUP books and had to start writing my own for my students. My work flow: I start by reading the book of the Bible through that I am going to study. (I use my personal print Bible for this.) I will read it through 50-100 times before I

Thanks, John! That was it! Well, actually I had two spaces (the old rule of two spaces after a colon)! But I still only got 43 resources instead of 50, so I took out Arthur, and just put Pink and wahlah! There they were! I have never, ever done a collection before and I am so excited to begin to learn how! Wow! Thanks so much! Sharon

  • Pink collection missing 47 books?

I followed the instructions below to make a collection by A W Pink. Only 3 resources show up, yet I know I have 50 resources by him in my library. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! First, you want to make a collection of resources by a specific author: Choose Tools | Collections Click New Name the collection something like Tozer Books or Piper Books
My favorite two word-reference websites also have some good info on gnomon: http://www.onelook.com (multi-dictionary search; also has a reverse lookup feature -- look up the definition and it finds a word for you) http://www.wordnik.com (shows you examples of how to use each word in a dictionary, images from Flickr if available
I misspelled his last name, it is Bengel. Here's much more about him and his works: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Albrecht_Bengel As far a definition of "gnomon", at first I thought of was my collection of little statues in my front yard. This is better: Etymology From Latin gnomon (pointer), from Greek gnomon (interpreter

Jacob, I'm very familiar with Crohn's. And if that is what you have, then I praise God that He has given so much information to men i n the pas t so that at this very time it is known how to get it under control, keep it under control, and give you a very normal life. (Not to downplay any of your suffering.) He has winnowed your path and He has left
