2251.Proclaim Logs.zip Here's the zip file of the logs from the iMac that I do most of the work on. Let me know if you see anything funky. Thanks! Pastor Becker

Funerals are what pastors do, and they often fall in the busiest times. I am out leading Christmas caroling this afternoon, and will try to upload the log files this evening. Thanks for your help! Pastor Larry Becker

Hi, Matt, Thanks for getting back to me - Little busy this morning, so will just respond here. With regard to work flow, I note that when I do an add, the green sync button shows syncing and then the green check mark, so I don't usually click it after every add - but I DO click it and wait for a response before I switch to another presentation. Last

Ok - it's getting worse - just staying on the same presentation, slides are disappearing from the presentation - I'm not even switching back and forth - the slides are just not there. What's going on?
-
I just did the latest update to my iMac, running 2.60.0057. I have been trying to put together two presentations tonight - the two presentations share announcements, scripture and sermon material. I bounce back and forth between them to make sure the announcements etc. are the same - and when I go back to the first one, it has reverted to a version

Thanks, Justin - I thought it might be something like that. I don't think I closed the Proclaim app on my iPad between services. I actually usually do close it because if I don't, it would have difficulty controlling another presentation - but lately it's been better at picking up on a newly started presentation. Usually I'd have to shut down and restart

Hi- odd thing- I noticed during our first service that I reused a Bible verse background from a previous Sunday's presentation in which the text was from Romans, and used a background that said "Romans," but the reading was from Philippians... derp... so I fixed it between services, and it was fine on-screen but still showed the Romans slide background

Count this as another request for this feature- anyone who uses the lectionary will have this come up regularly...
-
Thanks, Jordan - I'll try that. I think I accidentally tried it the other Sunday and was confused. It's a little difficult to keep up with new features - but that's a good thing, I guess - that there ARE new features. The iPad remote has seemed a little funky lately - I need to spend some time with it. Larry

I only use the OSB when I have others reading the scriptures - If I need to read the scriptures off of my iPad, which I use as a kind of confidence monitor, I use the regular Bible screen option, which gives you access to each screen. I would prefer to use the OSB, but actually very seldom do because of that issue.

Thanks - I was right-clicking, but in the wrong place, I guess. "Heat of battle" and so on... I KNEW there had to be a way to do it - it just wasn't obvious.
-
Well, this is exciting... in mostly a good way, but coming in to run a presentation this morning and not knowing there is a new version... Some odd issues (Win10) - song verse slides quickly alternating ON THEIR OWN back and forth - a restart of proclaim seemed to fix that. In the heat of getting a 9 am presentation ready... how do you name a slide
-
Hi - I'm having difficulty with Proclaim since I updated my sanctuary laptop and own office computers to Windows 10 (from Win 7). My office computer won't allow the update to be installed. It tells me that there is an error writing the file and to be sure I have access to that directory - I'm the only user of the computer - no administrator - so I should

Jumping in here - I normally use the iPad to control my slides, but when I need someone else to control slides, or when wi-fi is acting up, I use a Logitech R800. The R400 doesn't have enough range for us - but the R800 works well. I can use it for PowerPoint presentations as well. It's small, has good battery life, seems bulletproof. Highly recommended

I have struggled with this also... I typically make a set of announcement slides to use in the loops before and after the service, but then make copies of some that I want to highlight at the beginning of the service in announcement time. I sometimes forget to turn the timers off of the slides that we create in Powerpoint (you have to put a timer on

Mike Binks and I are apparently dealing with some of the same presentation needs... It would be great to have liturgical season colors and festival Sunday colors... although the season of Pentecost - something like 26 Sundays (!) - can get a little boring with just the same green backgrounds. We use four lessons on Sundays (1st, Psalm - imported images

I wanted to chime in on this as well, but on its own post so it's visible - Proclaim Remote on the iPad was SPEEDY last Sunday!!! One second or less!!!!! Thank you so much for sorting this out. We're quick to complain when there are issues - I wanted to just say thanks so much for your work on this! Lawrence Becker

I guess I would suspect the greater number of users active at that time... but literally 3 seconds - way too long to smoothly anticipate slide changes. And every once in a while it will happen in 1.5 seconds and throw what semblance of a rhythm completely off. Please get back to us and let us know what's going on... Thanks!
-
Getting frustrated again - it's hard to smoothly flow from slide to slide in a sermon or a song when it doesn't change for 3 seconds after you make the change on the iPad (Air, 128g) - and longer if it burps and shows an "unable to change slides" message... by the time you realize there's an issue and have to re-select the slide, it's now 5 or six seconds
-
Hi, Ish,, i like the the confirmation idea- I am getting a crick in my neck from always looking befind me to see if it actually changed. Three seconds would be hard to deal with... Two might be ok, but 3 is a bit out there IMO., This week I was able to just use the red On Air button to get its attention again - a quick click off and shift-F5 to restart
