  • Proclaim locks on OSB, SLOW iPad this week, 3/1 and last week

Since the update, things haven't gone well. They were ok for a while - at our 8:30 am (PST) service, the iPad (Air 128) has been really slow - 3 sec or so to change a slide, if it does at all, and the presentation on the PC (Win 7, all OS and video drivers up to date) locked and had to be taken off air and put back on air. It then worked, but sluggishly

  • Re: Bluetooth Pedal to Change Song Slides?

I tried my AirTurn pedal on it via my iPad and it did not work. Makes sense, I guess. My Logitech remote presenter works and is on the actual laptop in the sanctuary. The Airturn pedal is trying to affect the iPad. I imagine if I connected the Airturn pedal to the laptop it would work, but Bluetooth range is much shorter than I need - I play guitar

  • Re: secretary's pc creates blank slides in everyone else's computer?

Hi, Josh, She's uploading jpg exports from Powerpoint, the same as I do on my pc. She is also uploading to the group, not just to her pc - that was my first thought. I just checked her pc again, and it looks fine on her pc, but often shows "Failed to upload..." and then lists the file. I'm not sure it always showed the error message because it was quite

  • secretary's pc creates blank slides in everyone else's computer?

Not sure if I asked this before - when my secretary creates announcement slides on her Win7 pc, they often show up as blank white slides on my pc AND the sanctuary PC when I open the presentation, but look fine on her pc. I have to have her email the slide material (usually a jpg or PPT slide) and then manually load it into the presentation. I've had

  • Re: Songs Database

Interesting idea...from Powerpoint days, I have three HUGE Powerpoint presentations with song slides. It had the added benefit of being a place I could search if I couldn't think of a song that would fit with a particular message. It would be a MASSIVE Proclaim file, though...

  • Re: Stretch to fit

Both are easily done in other products. I resize every picture in Photoshop on a 1920x1080 canvas, ans every video is either already widescreen or can be stretched to fit in Premiere pro. It takes like 5 seconds to do, but you need the software and the know how. I've been using Photoshop for over 25 years, and Premiere Pro for about 5 years, and I'm

  • Re: Remote App - Help on Connecting

I use one of these as a back-up, or for having someone else control part of the service when I'm busy playing guitar. We use a Logitech R800 - good distance, reliable, not too much $$$.

  • Re: Remote kept crashing or wouldn't control today

Thanks, Spencer. Easy to work around for a small chapel - much more difficult on a Sunday Morning with a more complicated presentation.

  • Remote kept crashing or wouldn't control today

I was trying to do a relatively small, simple presentation today for our school's chapel and Remote on my iPad (Air, 128g) kept either crashing (start then shut off) or kept hanging when it was trying to control the presentation. I was able to use the Remote Beta app, but that isn't nearly as intuitive or helpful - you can't see what's coming a few

  • Re: HOW WOULD JESUS RESPOND TO PROCLAIM IF IT CRASHED ON HIM?

I always try to be supportive of the Logos/Proclaim tech staff - they are, in many ways, extensions of our ministry - and we of theirs, I think. As I get more experienced with Proclaim (since Easter, 2014), I have learned to have a "Plan B," because stuff happens... Every computer, software program, and electronic device can have issues, and the more

  • Re: Question for Proclaim users

My secretary prepares the announcement slides on her computer, which I combine with the rest of the presentations I put together on my office computer through the Internet. On Sunday mornings we sync the sanctuary laptop via wifi with the presentations we have put together and use it to actually run the presentations. I use my iPad via wifi to control

  • Re: Proclaim Sync Outage

The On-Screen Bible feature also seems to be off-line. I was ill this week and am trying to finish up tonight... going to be a long night, I guess. Just a word of encouragement - Scott Alexander and the rest of the Logos/Proclaim staff: Thanks for all you're trying to do to get us back up! I'm encouraged that I can get into this message board (couldn

  • Re: Oddness with the Remote app?

Hi, Spencer, I tested it a few minutes ago and the oddness is no longer there. I'm using an iPad Air, 128g, current iOS. Not sure what the issue was on Sunday. Has there been an update to the iOS remote software since Sunday? Thanks for checking!

  • Oddness with the Remote app?

I was using the standard remote app today and had an issue - in Landscape mode, which normally shows more of the slides on the bottom and a bigger active slide to read, was not displaying correctly. The preview line of slides popped up half way up the screen and hid the bottom half of the active slide. In portrait mode, it mostly worked ok - there was

  • 10-19-14 um, no issues at all...

We had no "unable to change slides" messages, no hesitation, acceptable and predictable latency from the iPad... Something changed? Things were good- I was even using the regular, non-beta version of Remote for the iPad (I prefer the screen with the line of preview slides on the bottom so you can see what's coming). It was a great day- thanks so much

  • Re: Frequent Remote for iPad crashes 10-12-14

Hi Spencer, It happened randomly - I could see no pattern. Sometimes it would crash, I would re-start it, and it would immediately crash. Other times it would be running as I was talking about something and I would look down to change the slide and it would no longer be running. Our WiFi was behaving well yesterday (9-10m up and down), so it came back

  • Frequent Remote for iPad crashes 10-12-14

I hadn't seen this before, but had read of other people's issues with this. Proclaim on my iPad Air (128gb, iOS 8.0.2, current) crashed at least 6 times yesterday during services. Fortunately I had my Logitech remote presenter with me so was able to advance the slides, but it was a little disorienting to have happen. Once, maybe ok... but multiple times

  • Re: Importing graphics

A work-around I use is to make a slide either in Adobe Photoshop or PowerPoint, save the files or slides as jpg files, the. Upload them as backgrounds for a Content slide. I don't generally use Proclaim to design slides at all. My secretary does on occasion... But if it involves much use of graphics, Proclaim AT THIS POINT is limited. When I do this

Yup- that was about when our iPads quit working. Just shut off the presentation and went dark. Not a good morning...
