  • Re: Problem this AM with ipad app

This is the issue I had as well - put it on another post - sorry... I had it Sunday, and again this morning. It's really hard to tell what slide you're on if you don't have the main slide in the center of the screen. Some of us are, um, older, and need the big slide view - plus if I'm playing guitar and I need to see what screen the words are on, it

  • iOS 8 Issue? Slides not showing correctly

Since the IOS 8 update, I've noticed an issue with my iPad (iPad Air, 128gb, iOS 8.0.2). Last Sunday we had trouble getting the slide to show on the main screen of the iPad. The little thumbnails showed on the bottom, but the large slide in the middle wasn't there - just two triangles ( <> ) and no active slide viewing. If we went to another app and

  • Re: 9-7-14 Not a good Sunday for us with Proclaim

Sorry to drop this - was travelling a bit this week. I think our base problem - flakey and finally dead wifi - was the primary issue, and everything else cascaded from there. Our server cabinet's battery backup has been repaired and I think we're good. No related issues last week at all. I had in my draft email box a reply and it never went out - sorry

  • Re: 9-7-14 Not a good Sunday for us with Proclaim

Hi, Scott - the presentations were the two dated for 9-7-14. The first is called 2014 09-7 8:30 Communion (2), and the 2nd is 2014-9-7 10:45 Communion. Regarding our connectivity, I couldn't check it during the service obviously, but afterward it showed almost 9mbs up and down. (Edit - just saw an email from my IT guy - we had a power blip during our

  • 9-7-14 Not a good Sunday for us with Proclaim

I finished my two service presentations last night, checked them, double checked them, and went to bed confident that it was all correct. This morning I checked again on my office computer and - where are my sermon slides? And I remembered last Thursday that the song slides that I had put in disappeared, then three out of the five songs reappeared in

  • Re: Controlling an MP3 file by iPad?

That seems odd - that we have pretty decent control over video files/slides, but not simpler audio files. The behavior is troubling as well - if I went to another placeholder slide to set up the next event (video), sometimes the audio from the previous slide would continue playing. The audio didn't seem limited to the slide it was put on. It was - unexpected

  • Re: Audio level on video files changed - Moment of Panic, live... and some feature requests

Thanks, Spencer - Is another problem that I'm signed in as the same user on both machines? Do I need to have the sanctuary pc a different group member? And don't forget the suggestion to have the iPad remote be able to have control over volume. Thanks!

  • Audio level on video files changed - Moment of Panic, live... and some feature requests

I had to play a couple of video files on Sunday - one from the Gideons, and one from our youth program. Both had audio. I set the levels in Proclaim on the sanctuary laptop to max on the files, then adjusted the levels in the sanctuary on my video mixer (Roland VR50HD) and audio board (Presonus 24.4.2) appropriately, and thought that issue was taken

  • Re: Controlling an MP3 file by iPad?

Replying to my own post... the memorial service on Friday went perfectly. No issues at all. The audio from the MP3 file, which was added to a content slide, was able to play through completely, and the three other video files (I used only the audio) played as expected. So - I'm still wondering, have others found a good way to play an MP3 file in a way

  • Controlling an MP3 file by iPad?

Hi - can't quite get my head around this, and it isn't working well. If I add an MP3 file as a sound file in an announcement, I can get it to start ok, but getting it to stop, or stop and restart causes odd things - like the song just continuing in the next slide where it left off. Is there a better way to add an MP3 song so that you can actually control

  • Re: Chromecast and Proclaim

Hi, Steven, I deleted the post right after I sent it... while I don't use Chromecast, I kind of know what it is. I was thinking of it in terms of communicating between computers - but I realized after I hit "post" that you probably meant it to communicate from either of the computers directly to the device which would be attached to the projector..

  • Re: Backend Access to my Song database

I've also experienced this when trying to just swap out songs and retain formatting. I just gathered that it wasn't intended to work that way. It also seemed to do that once or twice in an OSB slide when I tried to change just the reference I was using on a duplicated presentation. I got a mishmash of scripture (yes, that's a technical term - haha.

  • Re: Template presentations and a Save As option request-and lost presentation?

Not seeing anything there - I'll just try to watch more carefully what I'm reusing... I tried making my own "Template" documents that I would just reuse, but I kept just opening them and renaming them. Or my secretary did - It didn't last long.

  • Re: Template presentations and a Save As option request-and lost presentation?

Hi, Spencer, You were likely seeing the 8-3 presentation that I RE-created. It has the Abundant Table theme slide in it and the correct scripture for the day - the earlier and vanished one had some basics in it, but no scripture and no theme slide. I keep forgetting to duplicate the presentation before I reuse it - I just open, change the date and reuse

  • Template presentations and a Save As option request-and lost presentation?

I just lost the presentation for this Sunday - not sure if it was me or gremlins... but I KNOW it's confusing to try to re-use an old presentation as a template for a new one. My secretary is going on a 2.5 week vacation (I KNOW! What was I thinking?), and so we're trying to get three weeks ahead on this - and my August 3 (2014 8-3 10:45 Communion)

Thanks, Scott - that makes sense... I'll have another talk with her about fully syncing the files after she adds a slide.

  • Re: Hey! iPad Remote worked well today!

And it was perfect again today (7/28/14, 8 and 10:45). It is SO MUCH EASIER to focus on the service when I don't have to sweat the technology!!! I do the liturgy, gospel reading, the sermon, preside at communion, do the baptisms , and at our 2nd service, also play guitar with our praise band, if the technology is off, EVERYTHING is a struggle. THANKS

  • Re: Please help - Proclaim Losing Powerpoint files

I wonder if this is similar to what I've seen off and on, and even last night when I was putting everything together... My secretary does the announcement slides for the pre- and post-service loops of our two services. She puts them in a separate presentation, and then I copy and paste them into the pre/post loops, and in the opening part of the service

  • Hey! iPad Remote worked well today!

We're so quick to complain when there are problems - sorry - so I wanted to say THANKS! for all you all are doing to make things work better. The slides changed pretty seamlessly this morning at the early service (8:30 PST). I DID notice that about 8:50 or so the slides on the iPad screen didn't show up (just blank squares), but they did change appropriately

  • Re: Sigh....Today we had problems again....

Ok... time for a mea culpa... On a hunch, after the disaster that was last Sunday's services, I checked our internet speed in the sanctuary. It had been 10mps up/down pretty solid. On Sunday after the services is was only 3.1 up and 1.7 down... um... not good. I spoke with my volunteer IT guy this morning and he said he had swapped out a router because
