  • Re: Proclaim remote fails again. Use a clicker?

Watch the range on the clicker - some have MUCH shorter ranges than others. I use the Logitech R800, which has a 100' range. Their R400 has only a 50' range. I haven't had an issue with the R800, other than last Sunday when the batteries croaked on me mid-service. Sigh... The R800 is about $80. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/professional-presenter

I can't remember precisely the error message - Failure to load, or something like that (it was in the heat of battle) was what I saw initially. It mostly just didn't load all the preview slides, or took a LONG LONG LONG time to do so. I hadn't seen that before. It was true on the phone on 4G and wifi. Same issues. Larry

  • Re: Sigh....Today we had problems again....

Today was the WORST day we've had with Proclaim Remote. It was slow to load to the iPad (and iPhone 5S via cell/not wifi) - in fact, it wouldn't load to the iPad for the first 3 times I tried it. I hadn't seen that before, ever. When it finally loaded it continually had stopped controlling the slides. I thought I was clever and had my Logitech Presenter

  • Re: Sigh....Today we had problems again....

Thanks, Graham - hadn't really noticed that. I think I'll use it on Sundays - people have wondered what I was doing when I had to enter my password in up at the altar. It's funny what people notice. But.. it really doesn't seem to help. I was testing my announcement slides this afternoon (Saturday) and I got multiple Unable to chance slide notifications

Hi, Spencer, The first thing I did when I noticed occasional issues last April was to set the Auto Lock to Never. It hasn't helped. I wonder if something else is connected... When I close the cover on my iPad Air, the screen is locked, and when I open the cover again I have to enter a 4 digit code. Apple pretty much forces you to do this any more as

I also had iPad issues - and yes, my Windows PC video drivers and OS are completely up to date. The iPad just quits responding and gives a Did not change slide message. Then I open the file again, control it, and it works for a few slides. This was happening on two iPads, and even right next to the WiFi router. I am on Pacific time, and the worst service

  • Re: iPad error again 6-29-14 - unable to change slide

No - I am literally the only one on the network. We haven't rolled out Signals or the ability to make PayPal gifts during the service yet - we hope to implement that later this summer. (BTW, I don't see people writing/asking much about Signals or PayPal - does that work well?) The tablet is the iPad Air, 128g model; the computer is a Sony Vaio i7, Win

  • iPad error again 6-29-14 - unable to change slide

Well... I had hoped it would be more smooth with the update in server capacity, but we again experienced the Unable to change slide message several times in our first service - the problem occurred about 8:45 am PST. I had tested the presentation last night and before the service, and all seemed to go well, but during the service this morning, not so

  • Re: Server Down? Or...

Aaron, Thanks so much for the reply to the questions about the problems over the last two Sundays. It's frustrating to have issues, but it is really reassuring to know that you at Logos/Proclaim are working on it and to have some sense of what you're doing. I am sticking with Proclaim, largely because of the reassurances and insight you are giving us

  • Re: Server Down? Or...

We use an iPad to control the service quite a bit, and had grief with it at both our 8:30 and 10:45 services. We kept getting the Unable to change slides message and the iPad would simply quit responding. I closed the app and restarted it at one point in the 2nd service and it seemed to help. For those of us who use iPads to control the service, this

  • Re: Server Down? Or...

Hi, Stephen, Thanks for the explanation and the apology. We appreciate the effort that goes into all this behind the scenes. It really was a near-disaster for some of us. We try very hard to put together professional presentations, and, speaking for myself, very quickly become dependent on it as a part of the services we do - when it doesn't work, things

  • Re: Proclaim Remote Not Working!!

Our Second service went FAIRLY well - it seemed a little laggy, and I was a bit on edge. Mostly ok at the 2nd service (10:45-11:45, PST). Something got fixed - and thank you for that! I was able to do the first service with my Logitech presenter - got whiplash turning around to see what was on the screen. I told the congregation that I would be as surprised

  • Re: Proclaim Remote Not Working!!

Wow... that was not fun at all... our first service was an unpleasant experience - I DO have a plan B - a Logitech remote clicker that has a 75' range so I could run the service, but one or two of the slides I added this morning did not load at all.(Edit to say one more service to go, and the iPad went on line, so hoping...) I'm sure you know this

  • Re: Content in TWO Colours (Colors)

Hi, David, I don't think number 1 would work - I don't see how to make any field but the content field do word wrap, and most of the Psalm readings are too long... I did number 2 this week - put it together in PowerPoint and saved it as a jpg, then imported it as a slide show. It's pretty cumbersome - glad it's a relatively short psalm (10 verses, 2

AAARG!!!! (There! Got that out of my system!) Ok - finally tried to implement a responsive Psalm reading into Proclaim... my apologies! Due to my relative inexperience, I didn't understand fully what the OP was asking about. I don't think you can do it as Proclaim currently works WITHIN Proclaim itself. Is what the OP asked for - multiple formatting

  • Re: Had my first Proclaim full lockup Sunday- not fun...

The server went down briefly at about 10 pm on Saturday night. I restarted it, but didn't force to router we use in the sanctuary to shut down and restart so it could reprovision its DNS address. I had to do that for one of our printers, and did check the router but it was showing a good WIFI connection and seemed to work ok. Indeed, it did work for

Windows needed several updates, and there was a new video driver from Nvidia - installed all those. Another issue on our equipment side - Saturday night our DNS server went down in our server cabinet. USUALLY when that happens I have to reset all the equipment on our network so it can re-connect to the server. I did that with the printer, but when I

The first time I started Proclaim up it ran ok but gave an "Unknown error" message in the right panel of the laptop screen. Proclaim generated two new log files... 7851.awesomium.log 6740.Proclaim.log Thanks!

Thanks, Spencer, I was in the 2nd to last song in our 10:45 service. The iPads locked on one of the slides and wouldn't move forward. I assume that's when the laptop locked. Log files: 6013.ProclaimError.log 2046.Proclaim.log 4452.awesomium.log I didn't find a ProclaimCrash.txt file on my laptop I started Proclaim before I entered this post, exited

  • Had my first Proclaim full lockup Sunday- not fun...

It was about 11:30 PST - trying to move past the second to last song to a prayer slide and to the final song. We had two iPads in front trying to control the program - not initially at the same time when the problem occurred, but as the problem became evident, we were both trying and kept getting the unable to change slide message on the iPads. After
