Can you point me to help files or videos which discuss this? I've looked and not found anything that addresses this directly.

  • How to search for morphological agreement

How do I search for nouns and adjectives in the same verse that agree in gender and number? I'd be interested in seeing both Hebrew OT and Greek NT examples. Any and all help is appreciated.

  • Re: help needed searching for a phrase in Hebrew Bible

I need to figure out why this isn't working in BHS SESB, as that's the text my students and I have. Does anyone have insight into why there are different results here? I would think that they would give the same results.

  • help needed searching for a phrase in Hebrew Bible

I am trying to find all occurrences of the phrase "many waters" (מַ֥יִם רַבִּֽים) in the Hebrew Bible, and I've run into a couple of oddities. First, I started where I first read the phrase in Psa 29:3. I highlighted the phrase in the BHS SESB resource, right clicked, chose "selection," and then "Search this resource." The list of hits numbers 13, but

  • Font problem in NA27 textual apparatus

In my textual apparatus for NA27, I have recently noticed a font problem: The Gothic script characters for papyri and the majority of Byzantine minuscules are displaying as regular Roman characters. Here are two screenshots. In this example from Eph 2:21 the lower case m should be a capital letter Gothic script. In this example from Eph 2:13 the upper

  • Can a Word list be used as a basis for a search?

Can a word list be used as the basis for a search? For example, I can create a word list of Greek lemmas that occur only once in the NA28 text of Galatians. Once I have that word list finished, can I then use that word list to search for those words wherever they occur in NA28? I'd like some way to simply point to that word list as a parameter for the

  • display two different verses from the same version

I would like to display different verses from the same version side by side. For example, I'd like to read Gal 2 and Acts 15 in NA28 to make comparisons. I don't think the text comparison tool would work, as that focuses on the same verse in different versions, nor would any of the synopses work. Am I overlooking a simple solution here?

  • Re: Is it possible to only copy the references from a passage list?

Thanks for this tip. That's helpful. I do have a follow up question: Is it possible to change the formatting of what gets copied? The list which gets copied on my system is formatted with hyperlinks, a return at the end of every reference, and full book names. Is there a way to change any of that behavior, for example, no hyperlinks, abbreviated book

  • Is it possible to only copy the references from a passage list?

I would like to copy and paste only the references, not the references and text, for a passage list into my word processor. At present, the only thing I can do is select all and then copy-paste, but that brings the text, too, even in the compact view. Am I missing something?

  • find words which agree in gender, case, and number

How do I find words that agree in gender, case, and number in the Greek text? For example, how would I search NA28 to find an article followed by a noun, both of which have the same gender, case, and number?

How will we acquire this resource when it is available? Will it be a separate purchase or included in a package?

  • Westminster Morphology 4.18

It's my understanding that Logos will soon release this newest version of the Westminster Morphology . When this occurs, will it be attached to the BHS text such that we'll automatically get it if we have the BHS with the 4.2 morphology? Will the names of the resources be differentiated in any way so we can be sure we are using the most recent version

  • Re: confusion about searching for suffixed pronouns in SESB Hebrew text

I want to find certain instances of verbs that have pronominal suffixes attached. However, the only way to indicate that as far as I can tell is by choosing "Pronouns" and then "Suffixed." It seems like that would locate them, but it doesn't. Bradley, is this an error in the database or something else? When I search for the same code in the ESV, for

  • searching for Louw Nida semantic domain range

How do I search for a Louw Nida semantic domain range? For example, I'd like to find all occurrences of the following broad domain: Kinship Relations Involving Successive Generations (10.14–10.48) How do I search for 10.14-48? I can readily search for a single subdomain, like 10.14, but I can't figure out how to search for 10.14-48.

  • confusion about searching for suffixed pronouns in SESB Hebrew text

The following search returns no hits, when it should return bunches: When I search for only pronouns (@R) I get thousands of hits, but when I restrict it to suffixes (@RS) I get none. Can someone help me understand what's going on and how to find suffixed pronouns? Thanks in advance!

  • Help needed understanding search results in BHS text

When I search for the Hebrew word אֶחָד I get lots of hits: When I limit this to feminine forms I get no hits: Two issues: Other Bible search software which uses this same database on this same text shows 977 occurrences of this word, not 701. Why is there a discrepancy? The Logos search appears to be missing some hits. Why does the search for feminine
Rom 16:25 in NA27GBS (LLS:1.0.332) is not tagged as "Bible" text; this is causing results from this verse to be omitted. This seems like a book bug to me; I will report it.
My apologies for not noting that I was searching the GBS SESB NA27. When I search in other versions of NA27, I do get 18 hits. So
