CORRECTION The second paragraph of Step 6 should read: Now to edit the text file. For Encyclopedias and Lexicons, search for '@misc' (without the quotes) and for Journals, search for '@article', which you will find in the first line of an entry; change these to '@book'. However, do not attempt a search and replace (that would be too easy!). In these

I have done some investigation which has resulted in the following: Step 1: Create a collection of all your resources. Go to Tools > Collections. A new collection named Unnamed Collection will be created. Click on that title and rename it something like All , and then enter rating:>=0 into the “Start with resources matching” box. This will find all

Rosie, as David has indicated, it seems there is a different search protocol in the OT for the Clause Search. I highlighted this here , among other concerns with the Clause Search.

I had a quick look to see what was involved in adding the Logos Hebrew Morphology codes. They seemed largely the same as the WIVU codes (except for Verb Stems) so I had a go at adding them to the wiki page. I hadn't reckoned on all the accent and other markers! Indeed a few I can't get to properly render, but I think the codes are all there. Enjoy John

I still hope for some response to the concerns I have raised above but have also been further investigating the use of Clause Search, with an interesting discovery! Continuing to use the search illustrated on the L5 new features page (still not corrected) I have discovered there is a significant difference in search protocol between NT and OT. I noted

... Should such mistakes be reported as typos?
Eventually we'll have an option on the panel to report problems like this. Until then, the best thing to do for data errors like this is email them to data@logos.com.
Thank you. Noted.
Because of the large number of mentions of God, we chose to separate out those that are specifically God the Father from those that are more generically "God".
Sean, thank you for your response. I can understand the desire to offer a more refined search capablilty, however, I would express three concerns: 1. It is

On this example, and the wider issue of what results different search criteria should return, see also this thread .

Dave, what are you using as your search string? When I try 'subject:Sons of God' or 'subject:The Sons of God' (both of which are suggested on the menu) I get nothing. However, 'person:Sons of God' gets 3 and a bit hits (two hits are credited to Luke 20:36). I think it is a tagging problem that needs some attention. I have just come across a similar

Thanks MJ, have done so.

On the Logos 5 new features web page there is an illustration of the new Clause Search. Unfortunately it doesn't work as shown. The illustration shows the search as 'subject:God verb:to love' but this returns only two hits and does not include any from the illustration. To get these results the search has to be 'subject:God the Father verb:to love'

There is a small '2x' on the righthand side of the entry for 'Chapter 15 (Ge 15:3)'. The first search hit is the one named (Ge 15:3) the other is Ge 15:14 which is properly highlighted in the LHI Bible (while the search panel is open). On reflection, I guess that the information in the title should have given the clue: 149 hits in 108 articles. I realise

Dominick, my apologies. When Bill said he was still having problems I made assumptions, one of which concerned the difference between how the reference is described in the footnote and the way Logos searches for it. Mea culpa! The beauty of the way you detailed is of course that following your instructions does not involve typing anything and therefore
-
The string needs to be 20.3 [comma] [space] 1.2 (as was in your first post). That is what you are looking for, and using it I got the same results as Dominick.
-
Just a minor typo in Dominick's reply. Substitute BHRG §20.3, 1.2 (as in your original query) and it works as helpfully detailed by Dominick.

All fourteen booklets are available as pdfs by entering the following into a Google search: Gospel site: http://tgc-documents.s3.amazonaws.com/booklets/ NB You will need to copy the whole line into a Google search, not just click on the link. In addition you may wish to take account of these updates to the Foundation Documents: http://thegospelcoalition

Although not mentioned in the release notes, this update seems to trigger a re-index of the Bible Index. CORRECTION: It is the update to resources (in this instance all Bible resources) that has triggered the re-index, not the program update!

I also contacted Customer Support by email in September. However, apart from the automatic response email, I heard nothing more. I recently contacted Customer Support again and this time I was passed on to Technical Support. I have had an exchange of emails which brought no solution to the problem because it seemed the problem was not being understood

I downloaded Dave's first docx and compiled a PB from it, and saw the many links that had failed to compile properly. I then opened the docx in LibreOffice and altered it as follows: Ctrl+A to select all text, changed the font to Times New Roman, saved the changed file. On recompiling the PB, all but two of the links were working: the DBL Hebrew link
