• Re: My Annual Request
Ah, another year passes and still no option to change font type on mobile devices... I think I'm just going to go cry in a corner
Don't give up: remember Romans 5 "suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope" Let's hope for 2017, or 18, 19, or maybe 20...

  • Re: Question about Peter T O'Brien Resources

I seem to remember we had the same questions when the Moody titles were withdrawn a few years back. The basic point that was made to us then is that you have bought a product (albeit digital) from someone who was legally allowed to sell it to you at the time the transaction was made. That product is now your property and will remain so unless you come

  • Re: Vote Piper!!!!
(Wright is known outside his theological circle. Piper is not.)
Wright is also a writer of extraordinary diversity: his works written as Tom Wright are hugely accessible to all, even the most recent of converts to the faith, while his N.T. Wright texts are hugely important to those who are going deeper in their studies. I

Picked up Carson's Exegetical Fallacies, plus a couple of issues of Themelios for 69p. Can't say fairer than that.

I think this is an excellent introduction to CP for newbies. It prepares them for the realities when they come to bid £3.50 on the Princeton Theological Library...

  • Re: Book read count feature?

This is a feature that I only discovered recently. It's quite useful (and informative). I was relieved to find that my Bibles came in at #1,2 and 3.

  • Re: Most useful sermon collection

Spurgeon every time. As Everett said, you never want to copy a sermon, and with Spurgeon you can't, without sounding exceptionally dated. But his commitment to sharing the word, and his love of God and neighbour shine through ever time. Reading his sermons is a comfort, a history lesson and an inspiration all in one.

  • Free today: And then I had teenagers

I read Susan Yates first book a few years ago, and I'm really looking forward to this one. http://click.logosmail.com/t/4650361/17926276/49263/12/?e5e2987d=NDY1MDM2MQ%3d%3d&x=32162a30 Whether you have teens (as I do), or are ministering to those with teens, Sue's book is really very comforting: You are not alone!

  • Re: WARNING TO LOGOS—slow down

A fairly useful treatment for Logos addiction: read more. By which I mean actually read the texts you've bought. Start to finish. The excellent tagging and search options in Logos can blind us to the fact that many of these books were written to be read, not mined. Just a thought.

  • Re: Free book?
Also, I seen prices for Bible collections around 1800 dollars. What would Jesus say about selling His word for that exuberant amount and denying the poor access to study His word?
Logos can only be denying the poor access to study His word if they somehow remove every alternative Bible study software programme,
I paid the money and got my missing Revelation commentary. I never noticed it was missing during the initial download either.
If you had initially noticed that they weren't part of the set, would you have thought twice before making the purchase?
LOGOS did not tell me electronically it was missing

$1650, guess that leaves me out for quite awhile,
Believe me I would never buy that bundle. It all depends on your needs, but $1,650 will buy much better (though fewer) resources in Logos. The most valuable thing there is the Word Biblical Commentary and it has been on sale for about $400

The 'Holy Ghost Greek' theory is pretty outdated by now
This is a good example of something being outdated. But I know nothing in this collection that could be compared to it or be called outdated.
Agreed, and when you consider the 'anti-semitic' position of generations past I can think
