I'm more and more disappointed in logos support.
-
I want to share that I contacted technical support at Logos about this very issue over a year ago, and I was promised an answer. I followed up with the specific technical support person five or six times and my emails were unanswered. This unresponsiveness really casts a poor light on Logos' technical support. I will try this solution in Power Point

Here are two ideas. Start with this: if you are using PowerPoint for Mac 2011, find the drop down menu for Slide Show, then select Action Settings. In Action Settings, you will see a choice to hyperlink to URLs or Run Program. 1) If you want to use hyperlink to URL, you can log in to biblia.com. Find the publication you need, and be sure to enter the

Yes, you tried to explain this before. And I'm guessing you'll be trying to explain it to me after I figure out the last half of this puzzle.

Here's an update ... I have been able to get PowerPoint for Mac 2011 on a MacBook Pro (first using Lion and now Mountain Lion) to open the Logos app. The "Link to" command in PowerPoint for Mac 2011 is file://localhost/Applications/Logos%20Bible%20Software%204.app I have not yet been able to get Logos to open the document I want, but I will keep trying

I've been reading a lot about this problem and it's possible there is a solution ... but I'm no computer expert so I probably don't really understand the problem in PP for Mac. The inserted command seems to be instructing PowerPoint where to find the file, but the file is not found. Suggested solutions have involved sharing and also pointers needed

It seems like a solution might be found by inserting a shared drive or folder in the hyperlink base (Properties).
-
So Logos has contacted Microsoft about this and Microsoft refuses to take any action?
-
Now I have tested Word for Macs and hyperlinks to Logos do not work there either.
-
I created hyperlinks in many PowerPoint presentations in my Windows system I bought a MacBook Pro, bought PowerPoint for Macs, and converted to Logos for Mac None of my hyperlinks work; they appear as hyperlinks and the hyperlink data is still there: Cannot open the specified file (PowerPoint error message) Hyperlinks to web sites work as expected

This problem just started with the updates from this week.
-
I'm clicking the preferred bible from the home page. You probably know it appears there when you customize the home page to include a selection of the preferred bible. I have turned it off and on, hoping that would solve the problem: but it did not.
-
Thanks for the idea but it didn't work. This starting happeneing after this week's downloads.
-
The passage Guide and Explorer atomatically load when I click the icon for my preferred bible. I spent an hour trying to figure out how to turn it off and "help" and "support" did not give me any help on this. I do not want Passage Guide and Explorer to automatically load. Where can I find help on hos to turn off this feature?

I am glad to see, appearing frequently, the message that there is an update being downloaded. I do wish there was a list (or log) of downloads to my computer.

Thanks, I was able to use this information to fix the problem. The HKEY referenced in the article did not exist. Once I created the key and added the data value the hyperlinks began to function correctly. Thanks!
-
When I copy a reference as a URL, and then go to Word to post as a hyperlink, it starts Logos 3.0, not 4.0. Any recommendations on how to make this work correctly? I want to use hte hyperlink function for my Sunday School notes. For example, I wantt o be able to clink and retrieve a passage or dictionary entry. Thanks.

I would like to see the full table of contents, even if you must select "more."
-
I can only read the first 30 entries under each letter of the alphabet. For example, under A the last entry is Abigail. In the book, the last entry is Azzur. Same for "B" and so on. So far, I'm disappointed with the many problems of the iphone / ipod application. The concept is a truly good one, and I'm excited about the possibilites, but obviously
