  • Re: Adding a New Slide

Pastor Michael Huffman - I think this training video will help. I do what you are describing every week and it works like a charm. But I do not number the lines by myself. The ++ MUST be the first thing typed on each bullet point. Then select them all and format them as you wish; either with numbered lines, or simple un-numbered bullets. hope this helps

  • Re: Value of Partner Media @ $49.99/month?

I am also with a small church and decided to bypass the Graceway offerings due to the cost. I do subscribe to Proclaim's Pro Media, but have always had mixed feelings about it. I have even allowed it to expire once. We have one service per week, and it just doesn't make sense to spend so much to "rent" graphics for an hour each week. It would seem that

  • Re: Monitoring group usage

Something with that much detail would be great. I was just hoping I could tell how many group members were even using it; besides me! I love it, but don't sense a great deal of interest otherwise. Since it's billed annually this is a fairly large commitment of resources for something that might not be used adequately.
  • Invite Friends function

I use Gmail and have added many of our church members to a church Gmail group. I was expecting to be able to Invite them all to join out group by clicking the Gmail button on the invite form and providing that group email name, but it didn't seem to work; I had to search for each email address separately. Am I doing something wrong, or are email groups
  • Monitoring group usage

Is there a way to monitor group usage? I need to determine how well our Faithlife TV trial is being received.
  • Re: cannot import videos without proclaim crashing...

They're going to need your logs! Click Help from the top menu bar, then "Export Proclaim Logs". Save it anywhere you like, but attach the zip file created to this post using the paperclip icon at the top. You might also describe the problem in greater detail.

  • Re: problems with videos this morning...

I believe I may have experienced this same latency for the past few days. Could there be a problem with the Proclaim cloud provider again? Seems to be taking a very long time to sync. The background library only loads about half of the time. Videos will not play in preview most of the time; just show an X and connectivity error message. The new trivia

  • Re: Distorted audio when playing video

Thanks for checking this Jordan. I haven't had time to run your specific tests yet, but I did try running the same Thanksgiving verse-of-the-day video again. This time it sounded fine. I will try some more, but am wondering if recycling the app cleared the problem. The app had been running on Sunday , with the presentation online, for about 1.5 hours

  • Distorted audio when playing video

I tried to play a video yesterday and the audio was corrupted. At the time I thought something must have happened to my video file. So after church I tried playing the video from outside of Proclaim. This time the audio was just fine. I took a video with my phone so you can see and hear what is happening. I have provided a dropbox link to that video

  • Re: Sermon Recording - Website Playlist Issue

The dot after your abbreviated month name is the culprit. Don't use any characters in your sermon names that could be confused with a file name separator; ./: That's the dot or period, forward slash, and colon. You might need to avoid the \ also, that's the back slash.

  • Re: New! Amen Quick Screen

How about a custom option where we could provide the word(s) to be displayed; "amen", "hallelujah", "oh my", or maybe "don't be so stoic". I know - that last one is too long! But there are those among us with less reverent groups, who actually like this feature. Many in our group are first generation Christians, who never stepped into a church before

  • Re: Backgrounds

Kimberly, Try using the media browser from the menu ribbon across the top of the Proclaim window, instead of the background selector from the slide edit window. The browser window usually stays focused on the same grouping between slides. At least it does for me.

Have you been successful connecting AirPlay to more than one Apple TV device at a time? If so, please share how.

Arlene, Scott, and Jordan, When I tested the 4th generation device yesterday, I was using my home WIFI and everything worked just fine. For my "church in a box" setup I have the MacBook and Apple TV connected to an Airport Express using network cabling and Powerline network devices. I also use several iPads to remote control the slides using the local

  • Re: Apple TV and Proclaim

Pastor Dave, I tested the 4th generation Apple TV with our MacBook Pro for several hours this afternoon from home. It appears to be completely stable. I loaded up our Sunday presentation with every kind of video element I could find, then ran through the pre-service loop for several hours with no Proclaim crashes, or Airplay dropouts. After several

  • Re: Apple TV and Proclaim

Pastor Dave, We are also a recent plant using Proclaim and Apple TV. I call it "a church in a box" because we are in a rented space. We store all of our equipment onsite in a large locked storage cabinet and have to set everything up fresh every Sunday morning. I have used a 2nd gen Apple TV with very little success and am currently using the older

  • Re: Audio not playing from Recordings Screen

Mike, I had another thought! After the service, when you are attempting to listen and trim using the Macbook, where is the audio output from that Mac directed? Could it be that the Mac is attempting to send the audio to a muted sound board. I'm just curious since we are not having this issue. But I actually unplug the Mac after service and take it home

  • Re: Audio not playing from Recordings Screen

Mike, Please pardon me if I'm butting in, but have you verified that your input signal is getting into the system by setting the input levels under settings-audio from within Proclaim? I record without any problems every week. I use a MacBook Pro for recording without any problem. I get the input from our audio mixer via an aux out port using an XLR

  • Re: Still crashing on MacBook when video is used

Hmm. Sounds like I should probably just pick a 4th gen Apple TV and call it a win. Thanks for the update.
