  • Re: Computer setups

We went Mac and have not regretted it. Our setup is nearly identical to that of Mike Binks; MacBook Pro Retina, Apple TV, Airport Express, several PowerLine Network adapters, and iPads and/or iPhone for remote control. I use the iPads for remote control of our QSC16 sound board as well. We rent a space, so everything goes up before service and then

  • Re: Local Remote Still Unstable

The local remote has been very stable for us using an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS update. We did need to re-enforce our network/WIFI using several powerline network adapters. These appliances allow us to get both wired network and WIFI signals right where we need them. We worship in a rented space and don't have the luxury of running custom Cat5 cabling

  • New feature request

Sorry if I breech protocol, I'm not sure where to put this. I would like to see the record level meter added to the remote control screens. I operate both the sound board and Proclaim (running on a MacBook) remotely using an iPad. We also record our sermons using the fantastic Proclaim record feature and need a way to set the record level without making

  • Crash when importing video file.

I haven't included any video elements in a long time, but the pastor wanted a youtube video this morning. I saved the video to my local drive using the KeepVid site on the internet and verified that the file would play. But using the new Proclaim 2.0 release, our MacBook would crash instantly when I clicked the import button to attach the video to the

  • Re: Video's crashing Mac in Release 2

I believe the crash is restricted to the Proclaim application. The MacBook is not rebooting, or shutting down. At some point after going on-air with video elements in the presentation, the Proclaim application just shuts off and disappears, leaving a crash log behind. I usually take the precaution of re-starting the Mac after this happens, but it does

  • Re: Problem with Proclaim Remote (app)

I too am experiencing some new local remote issues following this weeks update. We had purchased several refurbished iPad 2's several months back and have been using them with the local WIFI remote to control our services with very few issues. Last week after the upgrade to Proclaim 2.0 they both quit working. Neither iPad's screen would paint correctly

  • Video's crashing Mac in Release 2

I apologize for loading you up with debugging, but I am recuperating and have nothing better to do! I have been avoiding using any video elements in my presentations for several months now, because they seemed to cause the MacBook to crash. After the release of 2.0 I decided to try adding some video back in. Unfortunately I see no difference in the

I have been looking through the log files created by Proclaim for messages that match up with the socket error I seem to be experiencing. I have attached a screen shot showing what might be a correlation between the error log and the regular program log showing some socket errors that seem to match up with the error I am getting. I think every time

Ok then. I used the link provided and am still getting the same error message with the older release. I went ahead and updated the spare Mac (with the older version of Proclaim), and it gets the same error. I tried it with the WIFI connected at both 2.4 and 5 GHz with no change. I have attached logs from both releases just in case they will help. 1348

After reading your suggestion I remembered that I have another identical MacBook with Proclaim 1.35.145 installed on it. I only use it when I am out of town to prepare for services. Unfortunately, it will not allow me to ignore the Rev 2 upgrade. Here is a screen shot.

I agree with Bernhard. Besides, perfection can only be found in Jesus Christ. The Proclaim application will never be perfect, but offers features not yet available anywhere else. I greatly appreciate the way the developers make themselves visible and available to assist when problems do arise; you never have to wait long for a fix. Perhaps JoshinRI

  • Local remote issue

I keep getting this error when attempting to test the local remote from home. It existed before the upgrade to release 2.x. It only seems to happen when I am testing from home, but has always worked when using the same MacBook at our worship site. My home router assigns IP's in the 192.168.10.x range, while the router at our worship location assigns

I think you set the location when you create a new presentation, either by duplication of from the new menu.

My church meets in a rented space and has experienced numerous wifi issues which resulted in local remote issues. I have attached a link to a website that contains a great deal of useful wifi troubleshooting tips. This is page one of five. Links for the remaining pages are located at the bottom of the article. In our rented space the telecom equipment

I'm not sure what iPAD you are working with or what version of the iOS you are using, but there are a number of self help articles online which address i device WIFI connectivity issues. You may find the solution to be an easy one. Just Google "ipad wifi connectivity issues". I have had to use all of the suggested fixes at one time or other. We meet

Chiming in here. But it does not appear that the iPAD it is connected to WIFI at the time the picture was taken. I believe there should be an indicator showing WIFI strength as indicated in the clipping below. This was taken from an iPAD for dummies book I found online. We use the local WIFI remote at out location, and have seen the "unable to change

Glenn, This is a follow-up on this issue. Everything worked perfectly during yesterday's service. Other than the usual Proclaim program updates, I did not make any hardware changes or re-configurations. I intentionally avoided using any motion backgrounds anywhere, and did not include any verse-of-the-day videos in the pre-service loop (just the static

Glenn, I started testing this last night and it apparently failed within the first hour using the presentation named 2016-11-13 Sunday, which is a copy of the one from last Sunday that failed twice. I had put it on air at about 7:45 PM Central time, just before going to bed. When I got up this morning, it had crashed. There was only one motion background
