Hi all, especially Faithlife devs - thanks for all your hard work. I want to be able to use my iPhone or iPad quickly and easily to look up original language things in my own Bible reading and in small group Bible study. Here are 4 things that would help me do that. If these things were implemented, Logos would be the best on the market for iOS Bible

Hi all, I want to read my English Bible alongside the original languages on my iPad. Say I set it to show 2 panes, and on the left pane I put my ESV, in the right pane I put my Hebrew text. I link the panes. Then I turn to a New Testament passage. Is there a way to get Logos to automatically switch to my Greek text?

Hi all, how does the zondervan dictionary compare with the IVP dictionary set, Anchor Bible Dictionary, and Lexham Bible Dictionary?

Hi all using the cited by tool to find things in my library that refer to Calvin's Institutes 3.6.2 it seems to be returning things that refer to book 3 in general. Is there a way to make it more precise, so that it only returns results that directly mention that section?

As has been said, i do my own textual work first. This actually saves time because it is a lot easier to puzzle through a passage than to wade through commentaries, usually! I guess God is a better author. Then: 1. I quickly scan a commentary or 2 looking for things that are noticably different to my own conclusions. These may be worth further study

Was there a Logos collection based around one of these lists?

Best solution to this i've found is iPad. Get a friend or spouse to turn on parental controls (General > Restrictions). There's a pin code they know but you don't. They can scroll down to 'Websites' and turn on 'block all websites'. You can put in a safe list, but apart from those sites you cannot visit any others. Then turn installing apps off,

Thats helpful! So I guess you could build this into the existing denominational streams. And what I've been saying is effectively, the entry level stream is not hitting my tribe (reformed evangelical)
You can get close to this price with what is currently available.
Thanks Graham, and thanks to FL for this. The dictionary seems great, and the Greek text is wonderful. But there are a number of drawbacks to this: no datasets so the guides don't work. This isn't a great way to show someone the power of Logos no systematic

I have an idea. Bob, I see your predicament. I might be missing something (please tell me, I'm interested!) but it seems to me that it would help to expand your customer base. This should be possible since a tiny fraction of (even just English-speaking) Christians use Logos. In my church alone, we have 2000 people and I'm aware of only 2 or 3 people

I doubt 0.38% is the margin on particular products. More likely it is the profit margin in general once all expenses are deducted from revenue. because if they are making $5 on a $1600 base package, as you say, they will not be able to pay the sales person.

But I am sorry, point taken. helpful discussion for me to see why people have reacted the way they have

I've noticed a bit of whinging on the forums about the level of discounts offered, the sorts of things that are on sale, etc. It's worth pointing out, Logos doesn't owe you any sales. They are free to sell what they want at the prices they want. You can choose to buy elsewhere. That's how our market works. Now, I'm first to say that there have been

Here's an email I got this week: Logos 7 searches the scriptures like never before Are you frustrated with Bible searches that uncover…well, nothing helpful? Here’s some good news: You don’t have to be frustrated anymore! With Logos 7, you’ll experience the most powerful search functionality on the planet. With the click of

This ties into something I have been thinking for a while. I've noticed a very strange tone on these forums. Not your post, Dan. But others. Very whiny, lots of complaint, lots of sense of entitlement. It's something I've never experienced among a Christian forum, even of other Bible software companies. I have started to wonder whether it is in part
