If there was a Word/Excel/PowerPoint or any Macro you would love to see come to life, what would it be? I'm curious about what functionality Logos Users can think and dream about. I'm expanding my Add-In and would love to try and build your dreams into it. The context is easy: you help me and I'll help you. I want to dream big, it must be the greatest

  • Dictionary of Bible Themes Visualization Request

I would love to have a Visualization of the Dictionary of Bible Themes that render an outline of the themes by reference. All references and headwords must be able to link back to inline searches and headwords in the dictionary. Thematic Outlines nor Preaching Themes provide the same quick insights as this visualization. I would appreciate some advice

  • Re: Is Verse Map Comparison Possible

Thank you all for the clear advice. The discrepancies are most often pointers towards possible issues regarding outlines. Some authors don't seem to mention these issues. By knowing the verse numbers that is an issue I can track them down before I start to further investigate the author's point of view. This way I can better prioritize bibliography

  • Is Verse Map Comparison Possible

Is there an easy way to compare chapter and verse map discrepancies of translations against original languages for a complete Book of the Bible? Kind of like the Bible Outline Browser, but for Bibles. Or, should I settle with Bible Outline Browser as the only solution? The idea is to quickly verify Chapter boundaries of a translation against boundaries

Thanks Graham, I missed Prefer Lemmas, in my case it should be set to "no" as the LBD use English Headwords.

  • Preferred Resource Ignored

Issue The Lexham English Bible is set as preffered resource The Lexham Bible Dictionary is set as Preffered resource When I right-click a word the LookUp list LBD first, but, when I double click on a word in the LEB The "Enhanced Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon" is opened Why does this happen? How can I fix this?
Hello. I am wondering if someone knows when we will have full support to insert Hebrew Text in the Canvas tool. Since the text gets out of order when I insert it, the tool is useless to me.
This is not full support, but it works fine for me as a workaround. Use Copy Bible Verses or Copy directly from

  • Re: HowTo open a Layout with a Link (Tip)

I officially abandon the above approach. The following is then the better, saver solution. Give the script a filename corresponding to the layout you want to open. Add the Script as a Button on the Shortcuts bar The Script Takes the Active Panel's reference and transfer it to the new Layout's Active Panel This will work for Bibles (Tested only against

I appreciate the clear well defined answer. I'll try to give more "selfsafe" solutions to problems.
it can only be a threat for those who rename their app. No?
Maybe I read to much on how trojans sneak into systems. I asked Faithlife to look into this. I don't think any software should allow this kind of scripting to fool it and doesn't feel comfortable that this is even possible. The weakness is that there is no verification

This isn't what you asked for, but could maybe help to think in another direction. Exactly what formats can your Presentation Software receive? Maybe there's another way to do it. Canvas is based on draw.io meaning that somehow it should be posible to use mxGraphModel to create templates. I tested this a while ago and succeeded. You can create a Style

  • HowTo open a Layout with a Link (Tip)

It's not possible to use the logos4 protocol to open a layout. I made a small AutoHotkey script to acomplish just this. How it works By renaming the Logos.exe file in %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Logos\Logos.exe to Logos8.exe I can now compile a small ahk executable and name it logos.exe and put it in the same directory. This small file handles the logos4

Install the Software on each PC to a USB using the Custom Install feature. Each Users Logos will be maintained on the USB and is suppose to run on any machine where logos is installed. The downside is slower performance but then you have portability and ownership in place. The user can always later then install Logos elsewhere on their own PC and copying
