  • Re: Last Night's Download

When I started Logos tonight it started downloading 704 MB! Still going, not sure what it is...I ordered the ESV Study Bible but surely it is not that big of a file. Is there something wrong with my Logos?

  • Is there a way?

I have used Logos for several years for Bible study but never really thoroughly read any of the books that are in my library. I started reading one the other day and am wondering if there is a way to set a "bookmark" that it will automatically go to where I left off at. Thanks for your help. Aaron

  • Re: PRAISE THE LORD FOR LOGOS!

I too am so thankful for logos. It saves me so much time and makes my sermon preparation able to be deeper because it pulls so many resources together very quickly. All of the staff do a great work for the Lord! Aaron

  • Re: EBC good first "premium" commentary?

I concur that the Tyndale Commentary series would be a better first purchase. The EBC is going through a major revision. THe Logos offering is the OLD edition that as has already been noted is quite uneven. I understand that this being corrected in the new editions. I would wait until the new editions are available before buying it in Logos.

Mark That sure enough fixed it! Just a different way to get at it than in 3.0. I appreciate you helping me get used to this new platform. Aaron

  • Re: I need HELP with word studies

Sorry Mark, I forgot the second part of the question. I am doing a study of "covenant" from Genesis. I opened the resource in my library and found the information that I wanted but it would be much easier if Logos would automatically do it for me.

  • Re: I need HELP with word studies

BTW, I have already "prioritized" this resource to the top of the list and given it 5 stars hoping that would do the trick. I guess the reason might be that it not recognized by Logos 4.0 as a word study resource. Aaron

  • I need HELP with word studies

I have Vine's Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words in my collections. I really like this tool and it became my first resource that I used in 3.0. When I do the exegetical guide word study this resource does not appear. Only the CHALOT and 2 or 3 other lexicons. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance for your help. Just another learning

  • Re: Pre Pub Pricing ( Baker Books)

Exactly. It makes no sense to pay full retail price for e copies of books that you can get for 20% or more by using nearly every Christian bookstores minister discount (for those of us that our ministers. Realize that there are many others that use Logos). Often I can save even more by buying from Amazon or CBD. Publishers need to understand that if

  • Re: ESV Study Notes

I do like the benefits of searching electronic books, and as of late have looked to see if the books that I purchase are available from Logos. If they are, I order them in that format. I tried to be a good steward and not have two copies of one book.

I am trying to wait "patiently" too. Been waiting a long time. Before long I am going to actually buy a hardcopy of the Study Bible and cancel my prepub order.

  • Re: reverse interlinears

I hope Logos is working to fix this. I for one do NOT like the new format for the interlinears. I liked being able to open the ESV RI and seeing the English, Greek or Hebrew text, and the parsing information all together. The new format is very akward and does not move with the text. You have to click on the verse or work to get it to move to where

  • Can You Remove Unwanted Resources From Your Harddrive?

I upgraded this week. Overall I am impressed but there are some things that I do not like. Question: Is there a way to delete resources from my library that I am quite certain that I will never use, need, nor want? The old version allowed you to pick and choose which ones were installed on your harddrive. I liked that much better.

I just upgrade my Logos and that is one feature that I can not stand either. I'll keep reading through these posts and hope to find a solution to get rid of it.
