Greetings, I wanted to share that my experience with a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max w/ 32 GB RAM is quite different. Even in Rosetta, Verbum "feels" faster than the app running natively on my 2019 Mac Pro 16-core w/ 384 GB RAM. I especially like the fact that it will happily use as many cores as it can (often reaching 850% utilization) to index. As a result

Greetings, This is wonderful, thank you! I had purchased the Boox Note Air 2 for the same reason and was disappointed when Verbum from the Google Play Store (GPS) did not work. I had the same issue where the GPS didn't seem to install all the necessary dependencies. When I downloaded Verbum 9.02 from APKPure and installed it, everything worked well

Hello again, By way of update, I download Logos 8 to see if the non-sequential verses would work in "Replace with Passage," but sadly it did not. I then downloaded Logos 9 in Windows running on my Mac via Parallels, but no luck there. Finally, I used some AppleScript to get it to do what I needed.

Thank you, I appreciate your replies. MJ Smith, when you say Logos generally does not support partial verses, are you speaking about the “Replace with Passage” tool specifically? The “Copy Bible Verses” tool DOES work correctly with non-sequential verses. I can’t imagine it would be too difficult to update the “Replace with Passage” tool to do the same

Hello, It's been a while since I posted this, but have yet to hear anything from Faithlife as to whether this is a bug or intentional behavior. I know it's hard for Faithlife to respond to every message, but it would be nice to hear back. God bless

That’s really interesting. I think there should be parity between the two versions in something as basic as this. I will try to update the title to reflect that this is an apparent bug.

The other shortcut doesn’t do anything on my Mac. What happens when you activate this window? Is the cursor in the text box ready to go? Maybe that will tell us if this is isolated on my computer or a general UI issue.

I just tried with Logos 9 on my MacBook Pro and it had the same issue: the "Replace with Passage" tool does not work with non-sequential verses (i.e., Mt 5:1, 2).

Yes, on my Mac, I use the standard shortcut, SHIFT+CMD+J. The CBV window opens, but it's unusable until I manually click on the text field to type a reference. I wish it was ready to go when activated.
When I click on the Library, Guides or Tools Menu, I can immediately start typing. However, when selecting the Docs menu, I first have to place the cursor into the Find box. It would be great if the cursor was automatically placed into the Find box.
Yes! Same with the Copy Bible Verse tool. I think all of the input fields

Hello again, When activating the Copy Bible Verses tool using the keyboard shortcut on Mac, the cursor is not focused on the text field where one types the verse. The window pops up, but any keyboard stroke produces an error sound. One has to physically click the text field with the mouse before beginning to type. Moreover, it looks like Logos 9 for

Thank you for verifying. I now know it's not only me. Hopefully, Faithlife will chime in and let us know what to do.

Greetings, and wishing you all a happy and peaceful New Year, Using the latest version of Verbum 9 on my Mac running macOS Big Sur, I noticed the "Replace with Passage" service is not able to expand non-sequential Bible verses. For example, "Psalm 99:3" and "Psalm 99:3-5" work, but "Psalm 99:3, 5" does not work. I don't understand why, because "Psalm

Hello, I have what is hopefully a quick question for the developers. With the most recent update (8.17), I noticed Logos does not use nearly as much of my Mac's processing power to index new and updated resources. In the past, I used to see Logos hitting close to 800% utilization (as reported by iStat Menus) on my 2019 Mac Pro with 16 cores, but now

Greetings in the Lord, I pray you are all well and safe. Just a quick question about getting text from a resource into the Sermon Editor using Logos 8.12 for Mac. When I select text from a resource and then drag the selection to the Sermon Editor, the curser changes into a green circle with a "+", which seems to indicate the text is going to be added

Thanks, Joe. I submitted an email as you requested. Please let me know if I can do anything else.

Thanks for your response. I had hoped the most recent update would fix the issue, but that does not seem to be the case. As you can see from the screenshot, I am searching a collection called Patristics, which contains the Fathers of the Church series, but Verbum thinks that this is a Scripture search and is trying to narrow down the passage. The search

Very helpful, thank you. If I'm not mistaken, Logos for Mac is missing the Logos for Windows shortcut that allows opening layouts, so this is much needed. I hope someone at Faithlife will consider this +1 for layout shortcuts in Mac.

Hello, May I ask how you configured Keyboard Maestro to change Logos' program size and open your study layout? I'm stuck on this step and can't figure out how to do this. Thanks!

Thanks, Graham. Here is what I see even when searching the entire library: All of the search results are from the Scripture; it's not searching the non-Scripture books in this collection, even though most of them are monographs. FYI, here is what the collection looks like:
