• Re: Welcome to the Forums

For starters tell us how long you have been a Logos user? Well, I had CDWord, then Logos 2.0 and have stayed current ever since. What kinds of resources or packages you own? My "base package" is Scholar's Platinum. I am just about to pass 4,000 resources. My focus is exegetical materials and teaching resources (reference books). What kinds of tasks

  • Re: What does Arabia mean to Apostle Paul?

We should probably add Gal 4:25 to the discussion. "Now this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. " I know Paul is building an analogy here, but he still is day that Mount Sinai is in Arabia.
Scholar's Gold includes my favorite commentary series => UBS New Testament Handbook Series and => UBS Old Testament Handbook Series so upgrading to Scholar's Gold is a better deal than individual purchase. Before upgrading, suggest calling Logos sales =>
Amen on the usefulness

Great statement! Too often people make the Bible out to be a human project instead of the Word of the Living God. Thanks for make it available so that it will be easy to present in my classes.

We have been using the Casio "green" models here in the Alaskan Bush. That have a laser light source stead of a bulb. They cost a little more but you never have to replace a bulb which is a great saving. Therefore total cost of ownership is lower. They also seem to be rugged. I fly on 6 seat single engine planes with one and have never had a damage

  • Re: Collection for Exegetical Commentaries

Which commentaries is a subjective decision on the part of the user. Some have a word like "exegetical" in their title. You might want to Open the library window Sort by "type" Expand the "bible commentary" section. Now add a tag for each of the commentaries that you consider "exegetical". You might want to use a tag like "Comm-Exegetical". Now you

  • Re: Dewey Decimal System?

It may be a good thing that they are gone for several reasons. Not every Logos resource had a Dewey number. The system is rather subject to change. The people who control the system add new classifications, delete classifications and reassign classifications. If one uses the Dewey numbers printed in the CIP information in an older book there is fair

I tagged these books an Non-Versified commentaries. In my custom passage guide I will get a hit when one of these "texts" lies within my search range. One has to use a collections entry in the passage guide for non-versified resources. I also tagged them a SermonStarters. So the collection entry in my passage guide that looks at sermon-starters will
