I checked the journals collection and it does not include any Bibles. I also ran the search above on the desktop computer using the same parameters and the search worked as expected. Something is obviously different with the iPad. One of the journal titles is Bible and Spade. I wonder if the iPad is misinterpreting that as a Bible. I would not think

Journals is under the Collections heading. Thank you for showing the example above where it seems to work correctly for you. When I have access to a desktop again I will check my journals collection.

  • iPad Search of Collection Only Searches Bible

I have a collection that includes all journal articles that I can access. I can do the search below for the entire library and it correctly searches all text and all books. But if I change from entire library to Journals it only searches biblical text. My collection of journals does not include Bible text. I thought I might click the “All Passages”

  • Re: Search for Imperatives

Thanks for the responses. Apparently it's a little more complicated than I had envisioned. I had thought it would be something like pray@v??m.

  • Search for Imperatives

I have been trying to figure this out all morning, and I am sure there is a simple solution I am just overlooking. How do I run a search to find all imperative forms of the word "pray," regardless of Greek or Hebrew? Thanks in advance, Raif

  • Re: Insufficient Privileges (Re)Installing Logos 6

I understand what you are saying. The part that doesn't make sense is that the folders for my Logos files (C:\Users\Raif\AppData\Local\Logos\) were under the folder referenced by "Documents" in the Quick Access area.

Thought it might be pertinent to point out that the "Documents" link I normally use (the one at the top) is where I found the directory I mentioned earlier which contains the Logos directory. With this in mind, it appears odd that the second location would cause problems.

  • Re: Insufficient Privileges (Re)Installing Logos 6

Thanks for your help. In searching for the top-level "Documents" folder, I found that I had more than one "Documents" folder listed in Windows Explorer. The one in the quick access area near the top is the one I normally use. The second "Documents" folder, in the section for "This PC," pointed to a folder on an external drive that was no longer connected

  • Re: Insufficient Privileges (Re)Installing Logos 6

Thanks for the consideration. The following path existed on my computer: C:\Users\Raif\AppData\Local\Logos I just added a new folder to that Logos folder. Then I added a text file to the Logos folder, edited it, and saved it.

  • Insufficient Privileges (Re)Installing Logos 6

I had Logos installed, but every time I tried to install the latest update, I received an error message, even when I had started Logos as administrator. The message says, "The selected user does not have sufficient privileges to complete the setup. Please choose Administrator from the Run As.. dialog." In an attempt to solve this problem, I uninstalled

Would it be possible to allow the option to choose placement with a right-mouse-click?

  • Where do new windows open?

Is there a way to determine where a new window will open? For example, I open a search window into a new floating window. When I click links in the results, some open in the floating window beside the search window, others open in various other places in the primary Logos window that I have open with all the other tabs. Is there a way to set the location

  • Re: Finding Imperatival Form of English Word

Thanks for the answers. I had seen the WITHIN parameter, but never would have imagined it would be used in this way. Looked like an option for subsets.

  • Finding Imperatival Form of English Word

I have searched Wiki, various help locations, and forum for the answer to my question, but have not found it yet. I would like to find all imperative occurrences for all biblical words translated into English as "pray." Can someone point me to instructions on how to do this? Thanks

  • What am I missing?

I wanted to try a simple example to verify that I could use reftagger before moving to something more advanced. I must have something missing here, but I have read the documentation, and looked through much of the forum. The biblical references do not provide links to the passages; they just show up as text. I have the file saved on my desktop as index

  • Preparing Your Library

Why doesn't Logos "prepare my library" before I try to open the program? Wouldn't that make a whole lot more sense?

  • Re: Post your desired enhancements here

It would also be nice to have shorter text in short cuts so that the pane on the left that appears showing the list of short cuts would include enough information for me to know what it is. As it stands now the only text I can see for a commentary is the name of the series which does not let me know which book of the Bible it concerns. For example,
