Thanks everyone. It took a couple more tries but it seems to be working as I wanted it to. Blessings!

I have typed in a passage and went the passage guide has opened, I then obeyed the exegetical guide to the same passage, and then opened the parallel passages tool. I then went to the layout tool and when it prompted "save as" I entered "default" but that changed nothing when I reopened Logos. I did the same and entered "passage guide" but that also

Thank you for your response. My attempts to do as you suggested did not work. I appreciate Logos' desire to simplify things for newer users but this is just another example of Logos 8 making things less simple for existing users. To be honest, I am not impressed with what I have seen of Logos 8.

  • Logos 8 needs three steps to do what Logos 7 did in one. Is this an improvement?

Previously when entering a passage into the passage box, Logos automatically opened the passage guide, the exegetical guide, notes, and the parallel passage guide. All in one quick easy step. With Logos 8 when I type a passage into the passage box the passage guide opens. If I want the exegetical guide (which I do) I have to open it separately and re

  • How do I set a link to my Logos/Faithlife account on my home page?

In Logos 7 there was a link to my Logos/Faithlife account in the upper right-hand corner. This disappeared when I upgraded to Logos 8. I miss it. Is there some way to get it back? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Re: Dishonest Advertising $100 off Logos 8 upgrade + Free Logos 7 Fundamentals

You fared better than I did. When I contacted the sales rep I was told that the $100.00 was only for first-time buyers. And yes, he noted that the ad was not clear or complete. Congrats on getting the extra discount.

Just an observation, I found this posting while looking at another line of posts which said that this message had been sent to all who had purchased the EEC series. I purchased it back when it first came out and I did not receive this message.

  • Using the sermon editor function

I have three questions related to using the sermon editor function. First, if you have put in a verse and created a powerpoint slide of the text but want to remove it, how do you do so? I am able to delete the power point slide but the text box with text stays in my notes column. Any suggestions? Second, related to the first. When I have more than one

  • creating reading plans

I have created several reading plans in the past without any problem. Since getting Logos 6, instead of having page numbers per day, I am getting book outline headings. Also, it is not assigning a reading to every day even though I have selected "read every day." Also, as some other posters have noted elsewhere, there are significant variations in the

  • Re: NEW Jouranls bundles are here

Having gone through the list of Journals offered in the TJL update (14 Journals according to the webpage) and looking at my library, the total of new volumes that will be added to my library is 151. Of these, 90 are Bibliotheca Sacra (from 1844-1933) and 17 are Journal of Ministry and Theology (not in Galaxie's collection). That leaves 34 new volumes

The annual update for Galaxy's Theological Journal was $50.00. My dynamic pricing for Logos' TJL update is $56 but, as has been noted by several posters, a large number of the journals included in Galaxy's collection are missing from Logos' TJL update. Having read your posts, I understand why they are missing but it does appear that I will be paying

Very pleased to see the TJL pre-pub info.. Disappointed at all of the missing content vis-a-vis the old Galaxy TJL. And surprised that though the content of the new collection is greatly reduced from the Galaxy version, the price of the new collection actually went up by more than 10%. Paying more for less is not what I've come to expect from Logos
