  • Re: Where does Logos 5 store Notes?

Thanks 'bama. Was the end of a long day when I read Graham's post and I 1) misunderstood what he was saying, 2) made a faulty assumption, 3) didn't have it in me at that time of night (morning?) to actually pursue the link to investigate the method. I see now that I can save the data file, so I'll certainly do that as a precaution if nothing else.

  • Re: Where does Logos 5 store Notes?

Thanks Dominic and Graham. This is as I had hoped it would be. Graham, I unfortunately don't really have the option of a less-than-full download of Logos. I am having some serious system instability issues and I need to do a full wipe of my internal HD in order to do a clean install of the OS and start fresh. That will of course necessitate reinstall

  • Where does Logos 5 store Notes?

I need to reformat my HD (Mac) and don't want to lose the personal notes I've written in Logos 5. Could someone please tell me whether they are actually stored on my Mac (and if so, where), or attached somehow to my Logos Library? Failing this, is there a way to do a backup and restore of those notes? Thanks for the help.

  • Re: Font change

Have to chime in on this as well. I don't particularly have an issue with the new English font, but am extremely unhappy with the new Greek font. It is too much a "script" kind of typeface for me; I prefer block letters. In particular, the thetas are just ridiculously awkward for me. Every time I see one, I have to stop and think about what that is

  • Re: Bible Search missing versions on iPad

Of course, you and Graham are both correct. My mistake. It's a long story how that came about, but I did notice the distinction after the fact. To make matters worse, I went back to my wife's app to try and recreate the condition in the edit screen and, surprise, it's not as I recalled. Maybe I am losing my mind after all! I'll definitely create a suggestion

I assume by L4 you're talking about the full program. I'm not that familiar with the Notes function on Logos for my Mac because frankly I do much more with the note function on my iPad. I'll take a look at that and see what I can learn about how it works. As for the change in the note functionality for the iPad/iPhone app, it has indeed changed. I'll

Thanks for the response. I had found that feature in the settings. However, I'm not sure about the function of the "palette specific" selection. The way it was before, I could choose from among my note files directly in the "edit note" screen. That seems to have inexplicably gone away. If going to the settings screen is now the only way to choose the

  • Re: Bible Search missing versions on iPad

OK. Got the new update yesterday and for the moment at least, it seems to be working correctly once again. Thank you! However, (and I know this will need to be addressed in another thread), a new issue has now cropped up in that I seem to no longer have the ability to choose the note document in which to store my notes. This is an integral part of the

  • Bible Search missing versions on iPad

Searched and found no post exactly addressing this issue. When I do a "Bible Search" on the iPad app (iPad 2, most current revision of the app), the "Resource Collections" drop-down does not show all of my offline content Bible versions. Specifically, my "Favorite Bible" is the KJV 1900, which is the English version I most commonly use, and it does

  • Re: Bible Word Study offline of iphone 4

Agreed! Seems that there were limited word study functions available offline on a previous version of the app and they disappeared with one of the recent updates. Maybe I'm dreaming. Our church's facility does not have availability of WiFi and cell coverage is on the edge network (read that SLOW) on the rare occasions that it exists at all. Oddly, no

  • Re: Logos for iOS 2.0.2 Release Notes

Thanks for the responses Graham and 'Bama. The issue is present on both my iPhone and iPad, though it manifests just a little differently. Both are updated with 2.0.2, and are running the latest iOS. All my resources appear in the respective libraries but when I try to do a "Bible search" not all my Bibles appear. There is no consistency from one device

  • Re: Notes on iPad?

Can't wait! This will make the iPad app perfect for my application. It's already great, just that one sticking point that I can't make notes in it. It would be stupendous if I could place brief notes right in the text just like in my paper Bible, or even if it were only footnotes that would be much better than having to change screens. Very excited
