  • Re: Questions for Greek scholars / those who do work with the Greek

Thanks for all the feedback. What is the major differences between these top three tools? Also do you have any suggestions for how to set up my visual filters, and what a good way to layout my screen is for doing this sort of work? (for example what resources do you suggest leaving open? NASV interlinear, NA27 interlinear, etc? Thanks.

  • Re: Greek Visual Filters help

Thanks for all feedback. I"m certain all the settings are resources are correct. I do notice that some updates downloaded and Logos is indexing. Does visual markup not work during indexing? (as I said, I've tried many different resources, ones I use often with visual filters, and I don't even get the check mark boxes to select my visual filters)

  • Questions for Greek scholars / those who do work with the Greek

I am in grad school in a 4th semester Greek class and at this point we are working on the process of Exegesis. There are so many tools in the package I have (platinum) and I have no idea what is available to me, or how to really get my value return on investment on them. I'm curious if anyone out there who does exegesis work could tell me what tools

  • Questions for users of both windows and mac versions of Logos 4

I use Logos 4 under Parallels on both my macbook pro and my imac quad core i7 at home. I wanted to see if it is safe to delete the parallels version at this point. Are there any biggies that still aren't on the mac version? (i do a lot of Greek/ Hebrew work in grad school, so the functions involving those tools is important to me.) Also for users of

  • Greek Visual Filters help

I am not able to get my visual filters to show up. I am doing a morph filter for Greek work. (certain kind of verbs, preps, etc.) When I click on the little 3 circle button where you normally apply your filters none of my filters show up. Not sure what is going on, or why they aren't showing up. Any ideas?

  • Re: Recommended Computer Specification

I would disagree with the 7200 rpm being the "bare minimum" I have several computers I run Logos 4 one. One machine is a very high end quad core i7 with 8gb of ram, another is a dual core intel witjh 4 gb of ram. Both at 5600 and its super fast. Results display before I even finish typing the words most of the time. Not many laptoops/desktops come with

Thanks, but I know how to do that. What I would like to be able to do is to make that my default when I run a passage guide.

  • Layout Question

Quick question - how do I change the layout when I do a passage guide search? For instance when I run a passage guide my Commentaries open on the bottom, and my Bibles open up top. I want to reverse that, so that when I run a passage guide my Bibles always open on bottom and my commentaries always open up top. Is there a way to change make this the

  • Re: Question about searching a resource

Hmmm. This is different then how the previous versions worked, correct? If I have to run a search for everything other then my commentaries, how would I search all these resources? It seems as if I would have to run thousand different searches. Is that right?

  • Re: Question about searching a resource

So I'd have to run different searches each time? I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself correctly. What I want to be able to do is simply put in a passage in the home screen, and pull up all the resources in my library that deal with that topic. (including the Piper books, and any others) Is that doable?

Thanks! Will this also be searched when I run a passage guide?

  • Question about searching a resource

I own the entire John Piper collection. How do I tell Logos to search these resources when I run a passage guide search? I believe in the older version I had to set the John Piper resources as a collection, then it would search that collection. I understand Logos 4 works a bit different. I want to be sure I am checking those resources as I prepare sermons

  • Re: few questions

I haven't ran the mac version on this machine in months. I used to have an old version, but I thought I had deleted everything from this machine. Is my old install affecting this, or is just an issue with A16? Is there anything I can do on my end to force it to download the resources? Also I have the software running fine on my home imac. Would it be

  • few questions

I have been running Logos 4 beta on my imac at home, and running Logos 4 for windows under Paralles on my MacBook Pro. I think at sometime I may have tried running the beta on my laptop, but it wasn't stable enough so I took it off. Now it seems that the mac version is running much better, and so I reinstalled the mac beta on my laptop. For some reason
