• Re: Timeline - Enhancements/Improvements

I never use it because I find it a cluttered mess, but I would really like to if it were simple and intuitive. I would like to see it function something akin to a stock market chart where I can easily add/remove individual items to a single chart that is simple to view. The workflow would be something like: I'm working in a Logos resource and come across

  • Re: Legacy Libraries

Logos packages can come with program features as well as resources (books). Program features can be things like the sermon editor, factbook or other guides, tools and datasets. These legacy libraries only include resources (books) so they will get integrated into the other resources you already own and will be accessible by the program and program features

  • Re: Could Logos home page have a "Search tip of the day"

Great idea and I voted. Would be nice to see this and other training type entries in the home page as that would add a lot of value.
I have no desire to discuss how it should work.
Then please do not feel the need to do so. I think it is helpful to get as broad a perspective on the issue from multiple points of view to make sure the ramifications of any suggested changes are fully understood before adding a feedback suggestion. That ensures the best

  • Re: Highlighting verses highlights all related resources
This is the intended behavior of a highlight by reference and has been since L4 IIRC. What you want to do is closer to highlight by selection and then use the visual filter "notes and highlights (corresponding)" To suggest a change, add it to the feedback site and round up votes.
If I select selection, then the highlight

  • Highlighting verses highlights all related resources

When I highlight a verse in a Bible (via reference), it also highlights all text in resources such as commentaries that refer back to that verse. That doesn't make sense to me as the desired behavior to have pages and pages of commentary text highlighted just because I highlighted the verse. I'm highlighting the verse and that's all I want. If I want
I'm in 100% agreement that Factbook should show you all the defining content (headword + definition/discussion) in your library from your dictionaries, encyclopedias, glossaries, and monographs and other resources with embedded glossaries. It would be really nice to have on a resource's product page any guides or tools (including Factbook) the resource will show up in due to being tagged..

  • Re: Sermon Editor Verse Reference Bug?

Makes sense, thanks. I would prefer a single click brings up the reference in a new pane like standard link behavior in Logos and then a double click or hitting the edit icon that appears to the right would allow editing. Just to keep things more consistent.

  • Sermon Editor Verse Reference Bug?

I ran into a behavior today that I believe is a bug in the sermon editor. I have a sermon document with several pages of writing and several verse reference boxes mixed in. In reviewing a sermon, I decided I wanted to pull up a referenced text from a text box in a new pane. Rather than type it in, I wanted to do it from the reference at the top of the

  • Re: Designating root words

Ok, one more tweak from someone who knows far more than me about Hebrew/Greek. I would like to have a second filter that does the same highlighting but this time for the plural form of you. Since modern English has no plural second person pronouns, some important meanings can be missed completely in English translations. I would like to create a visual

  • Designating root words

Is there a way in Logos to designate a root word (Hebrew or Greek) in such a way that whenever it is translated in an English Bible, it can be indicated in some way (Highlight, note, visual filter, etc...). For example, I would like to designate the Hebrew word נשׂא , so that it is indicated in the English text. I see I can take notes and use the word

  • Re: Suggestion: Legacy Standard Bible

Here's an update from the publisher I received today: We are done with the work on the cross references, footnotes and Strong’s numbers that are included in the master database for the LSB. A meta-data company will filter through the file and then minor updates will occur. After that work is completed we will have a file to begin typesetting reference
I have no idea what makes you think it's so important to have all of these perspectives.
Because if you want to effectively speak to or even counter a position or belief you have to learn and understand that belief accurately and fully from the perspective of those who hold it. It gets confusing because there is so much inconsistency. Here on the Christmas sale page we are apparently back to using owned (Which I still prefer).

  • Problems with selecting search Range

Hello. I am unable to create a custom search range with multiple books as the window that pops up to select the range is mostly cut off and does not move to allow more selections. Attached is a screenshot. I have Android 9 and Logos Mobile 9.9.2. I've never tried this function before, so I don't know if this is a new issue or not.
I found it clumsy and unintuitive.
Sadly, well said. It is very powerful and you can get a lot done, but it's often confusing and so can take a lot of effort to get over that initial learning curve. I guess that's Logos in general! Home page is kind of a home page, but then it has back arrows to go to your opened resource
