• Re: Windows 11

That was a great game! The problem with older games on newer versions of Windows is they often have code that accesses hardware in workarounds and not fully supported APIs to squeeze out a little extra performance. That's not something that you see in productivity software like Logos, hence you can still run old versions such software on Windows with

  • Re: Effect of Windows 11 on operation of LOGOS?

I strongly suspect Microsoft will back down on this one before Windows 11 is released. While they want to discourage users from upgrading "unsupported" machines, this will create a problem much worse than the security problem they are trying to improve. Still, no guarantees at this point so we'll just have to see how it goes.

One of Microsoft's biggest priorities with Windows is and has always been compatibility. Their bread and butter comes from their corporate customers and they run crazy old stuff forever. There's nothing in 11 that is a significant change in software compatibility that would cause any significant issues unless you go with an ARM processor. That's still

  • Re: Pining favorite tools to resource toolbars

I would just argue that these shortcuts need to be on the resource's toolbar next to the existing resource specific tools, not on the general shortcuts bar. If you have multiple resources open it could get unwieldy as to knowing which resources it would affect. All open? Just the selected? Better to keep the behavior clearly tided to each resource like

  • Re: Pining favorite tools to resource toolbars

I'm suggesting the ability to be able to pin tools, not resources. If you open a resource such as a Bible, you will see a set of tools at the top of the resources toolbar. These are visual filters, factbook, etc. Visual filters opens to a long list of dozens and dozens of entries. This makes switching them on and off on the fly rather inefficient. I

  • Pining favorite tools to resource toolbars

Please allow favorite resource tools to be pinned to resource toolbars (not sure what these are officially called). For instance, when I want to apply a visual filter to a Bible, I have to scroll down through a very long list that takes a lot of hunting to find the right one(s). Please allow me to right click on an entry and pin it to the toolbar or
Is Logos on a Surface Pro X an unwise choice?
At this point consider it a beta experience that is a work in progress. Probably not for the faint of heart. Give it a few more years and revisions to bake and we'll see. Logos Desktop is excellent on a Pro 7, though the touch experience could use improvement.

We'll just have to see how much they budge, if at all. I do understand that more recent processors have additional security features and with security growing ever more important with ransomware and such they may end up hold to there original plans. We'll see. I have the same Windows 11 virus protection issue. I've read others do as well, so it appears

Adding a blurb about pre-pubs about to be dropped to the homepage might draw a lot more attention to them as it could reach a much larger audience than the forums. I had never seen this resource until Thom's post, but as soon as I saw this it immediately intrigued me and I placed an order. I have to think I'm not the only one who would grab an interesting

Don't have this issue but I would start with a video driver/Firmware update and see if that helps. If your PC manufacturer does not offer an update, you might try directly going to AMD and see if you can get one that way.

  • Re: Removing the Store (cart) icon in Logos 9

I was just pointing out that all aspects of the interface in Word are customizable and I think it is important as different screen sizes and interface functions such as Windows Snap makes an non-customizable interface often difficult to use (i.e. my shortcuts are completely inaccessible on a smaller snapped screen. Very frustrating!).

The 'Toolbar' as you refer to it is actually called groups and they are completely customizable. New groups can be added/removed/renamed.
I will grant you that MS Edge allows the toolbar to be modified but MS Word does not
I must say I'm a little confused by this one and likely missing something. Are you saying you can't customize the Ribbon Interface in MS Word? I'm pretty sure that's not what you are saying since you easily can. I assume you are meaning

Ok, I went and found a Windows 10 machine and do not receive the error with the same browser version so it looks like it is Just Windows 11 misbehaving. Should have checked this before I posted!

For the past couple days I'm getting SSL security errors on Faithlife emails whenever I click on links (sales stuff). My browser is reporting the certificate is invalid. Faithlife, are you aware of this? I assume I'm not the only one seeing this.
