Denise - I caught what you were saying. I just found it interesting. You're right, it's all relative to wherever we stand.

Rats... rebuilding fixed it. I have not only made several personal books, but I have also compiled many from these forums. That's going to mean that I have to rebuild well over 100 personal books. Well - at least I have a solution.
-
I am searching all commentaries. If I search only the collection that the For Everyone commentaries are in, I end up with no results.

Yes, it is compiled as a Bible Commentary.
The software is unbelievably liberal ... but throws a few evangelical bones out now and then (with Zondervan helping out as much as it can).
Really? That's definitely not my perception. As someone who is a part of a tradition that some would describe as progressive (though few would describe as liberal), I find that Logos

Hello, Before investing in Logos, I owned the New Testament "For Everyone" books in epub. After investing in Logos, I converted them to docx files and added bible milestones at each passage. For a long time, they showed up when I searched for a passage. Now, for some reason, they don't. Right now I'm in Hebrews 11 - so when I type in Hebrews 11, all

Excellent! Perfect! Thank you! Also a little embarrassing! That was in response to my own question, answered almost immediately! Oops!
-
Any idea how you would format the milestones?

A long time ago, I asked if it was possible to create Personal Books with milestones that mark the Lectionary reading rather than date (so something like [[@RCL:C O20]] rather than [[@YearMonthDay:Aug 13, 2016]] ). At that time, nothing like that had been implemented. Has it since? Thanks in advance. Edit: I realized I should have explained the pretend

Well, I'm stumped again. The book that I rebuilt and had working and searchable is no longer showing up in the search results. I can still open it manually, but I can't search it. I never got it working on the new one. I'm tempted to do a fresh install on the new computer and try all over again.
-
On the old computer, I put a space after the colon in my milestones and recompiled. It is now showing up in search results. That's enough for me to get my work done today. I'll examine the new computer later and figure out what's going on.

Graham - I didn't think about that. They do come up in a basic search, by passage and headword. Just not the passage guide.
-
Here's a little more information. I converted an epub of Scott Daniels' "Seven Deadly Spirits" into a Word doc. I then added milestones such as: [[@Bible:Revelation 2:1-7]] [[@Headword:Ephesus]] before the chapters so that I (in theory) can search for the passage or city and have the book come up in the results. I compiled it as a Bible Commentary,

Thanks, everyone. Yes, the books were uploaded. I can view the full contents of them if I open them. They just don't show up in search results. After fully rebuilding the index, I'm still not having any luck.

The books are visible in the Logos Library. They are showing the Permanent license. I have two computers - an old one and a new one. The new one has a fresh install of Logos and doesn't pull material from any personal book. They were downloaded from the server. The old one, which I just fired back up, does still pull up the resources from the Personal

It's been too long since I've used this! I'm rebuilding the PBB index now to see if that might help. Edit: Nope - no luck.

Hi, I have a few resources that I created from e-books that I meticulously inserted milestones into a few years ago. I have used Logos 6 for some time now, but put it away for a few months. Now, upon opening it again and updating, I'm finding that my personal books do not show up in the search results like they used to. Has Logos changed the way personal

Good to know. I'll leave it up in case someone wants to try it.
