  • Re: Linux version of Logos Bible Software

Ok, being that I am virtually a coding idiot and know nothing, does Window's recent openness impact this idea of having Logos on Linux at all? I am talking about their recent announcments about PowerShell and Bash. Again, I know nothing, so maybe it has no impact on this project, but I figured I would ask. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/powershell

  • Re: A couple wants and needs with Faithlife/Feature Request

Google Calendars at this point offers several features, the largest is that they make it shareable. I can sync up my Google Calendar across several different platforms. If I could make my Google Calendar sync with Faithlife, or Faithlife sync with Google, that would account for the largest portion of what I need. (Note: I am not talking of downloading

  • A couple wants and needs with Faithlife/Feature Request

I have been using Faithlife for a few years now and I love it. However, as a pastor I am not ready to get my church involved. In my previous parish I had tried and run into a few issues I will lay some of them out below. Many of them may have fixes that I have not seen yet, if that is the case, could someone help me out and find them. -Newsfeed is cluttered

  • Re: Can I create a Logos Word List document to study Greek Verb Morphology?

Yeah, I read about that way, and was hoping to avoid it, but if it is my only way, it might be worth it. Thanks.

  • Re: Can I create a Logos Word List document to study Greek Verb Morphology?

Yes, I know you can, but I was hoping for something a little less tedious. For instance, lets say I want to study the text for Christmas Eve, Matthew 1:18-25 (at least the text here) I have one list set up for vocabulary, can I create another list that gives the words as they appear in the actual text, and can I change what appears on the back of the

  • Can I create a Logos Word List document to study Greek Verb Morphology?

Alright, I have searched a bit and don't know if this is possible, at least not in a simple way. However, I would like to use the flashcard app to study some Greek morphology (paradigms and the like) However, when I create a word list, this does not seem to be an option. Is there something I can buy for this, or is there a way to make the cards display

  • Importable PB's

Dear Logos, I would like to make a suggestion. Right now you have Logos 5 with a fully functional PB builder, plus Faithlife community. As a pastor both of these tools are fantastic and I love them, but it is very difficult to make fully integrated Bible Studies. As a user of Logos you would expect that I would be very keen to make my own Bible Studies

  • Re: Using PB's with Faithlife Community Reading Plan

Yeah, that is pretty much the problem. I have been experimenting by making Bible studies that operate on tablets and other smart devices. If I could streamline this and put my Bible studies in Logos and then distribute via Faithlife, it would be great, and I would spend more time learning the PBB, but until that happens the PBB is not a very useful

Thank You Ken, I will keep coming back to this. It has been talked about for awhile but for me it is frustrating. I love Faithlife, I love Logos. As a pastor however, I want to be able to compile a book (or study as it is) and then share a reading plan with my people. They do not all have Logos and cannot compile it. I also would like for them to be

  • Using PB's with Faithlife Community Reading Plan

Alright, I know I can create a reading plan, based off my PB and share the reading plan on Faithlife, but as of yet, I see no way to upload my PB into the cloud so that I can have it available on Faithlife with the reading plan. If this is available and I missed it sorry, if it is not available and there is a workaround I would be happy to hear it.

  • Re: "The Story" Reading Plan

Faithlife being connected with Logos enables you to create and share documents, one of the ways they do it is by creating the "document" and then sharing it with all who are collabarating. If I right click on it and save as, I can download it as an html (I have yet to try to upload it back in, so it may not be possible) but I am just wondering at what

Through Faithlife, I can download the reading plan document as an html, is there a way to manipulate it to get specific reading dates I want, or is this just completely undo-able?

  • "The Story" Reading Plan

I am wondering if it is possible to create a reading list based off, "The Story" and then determine when each section of text would be read. The issue I am having is that I want to have more control over the days that the material is read. So for instance, we won't be reading during the week that Christmas Falls. How, when first creating the list, tell

  • Re: Notifications and Prayer List

As of right now, the lack of a prayer list on the app is my biggest complaint, this seems like such an obvious thing. Does anyone know if they plan on giving us this capability, or has it already been done, and I simply can't find it?

  • Re: ical or caldav

Thank you, yes I would love to sync the calendars of both, but if I could at least do the ical with the Faithlife calendar that will work for now, until this feature will hopefully become available.

  • ical or caldav

This is another thing that would be most useful in Faithlife. For my church, I use Google calendar, it would be nice to set this up within Faithlife, so that those in the community could see our calendar, so I don't have to create everything twice. You may already have this feature, if so, could someone point it out to me please.

  • Quizzes/course building?

I did not see an immediate thread dealing with this topic or the topic of suggestions, so I will say it here. I am the pastor of a church and as many of us do, I have a midweek instruction. I absolutely love what I have seen in Faithlife. I plan on using it with my young adults and eventually with my high schoolers (many of my adults are beyond the

  • Re: Logos 5 upgrade and old base packages.

Thank you, it seems that as I read, this is one of the most confusing parts of the whole thing, most of the complaints and "reasons" people give for not upgrading is that they don't want to pay for their packages again, and like I said, it seems that a lot of people are asking ambiguous forms of this question.

  • Logos 5 upgrade and old base packages.

Alright, just so that I can have things clear (I have read several post and it seems everyone is asking a version of this question, but I just want to say it bluntly for a clear answer) I have Scholar's package in Logos 4, if I purchase Logos 5 starter package, once downloaded, I will still have all the books from Scholar's package plus any new ones

  • Re: Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament - textual apparatus

It is true that the SBL has an apparatus, but as you mentioned it is not a critical apparatus which in my opinion defeats the purpose, at least for what I am trying to accomplish with it. BibleWorks does have Tischendorf in the program and not as an add in module which is nice, I personally have come to prefer Tischendorf's over NA 27. That being said
