Thanks Dave. Yes, I do have that setting selected - and I have for quite awhile now.

I figured it out - well, sort of. It only happens on start up. When I first open Logos, the sync feature on my Link Sets are off. Then as I use them they work fine. Hopefully just a bug that gets fixed.

Thanks for the response - it is strange! It doesn't always happen, but it happens enough to be frustrating. I'm going to try and pinpoint the conditions under which it happens. I'll also try it with two Bibles for a few days to see what happens. I'm wondering if it has to do with font size? Thanks again.

Hello! I've been dealing with a super annoying glitch in my linked Bibles. I have eight tabs with eight Bibles (including Greek/Hebrew) open on a split screen. I have them all set to Link Set A. However, they do not link well. For example, if I have the CSB tab open to 2 Peter 2:11 and I click on the NIV tab, sometimes the NIV tab is somewhere in 1

Right, thanks!

Yes, thanks for the correction. I meant these: " " - quote marks.

Thank you! I wonder how that got unchecked? I haven't touched it. Hmmm... Oh well, works now. Have a good day!

Hello fellow Logos users! I've dug around here a bit but can't figure out a bug in my Logos 9 software (9.2.0.0014). I'm using MacOS Big Sur. Here's the issue: when I search for a term, it searches for more than just the term I ask it to. For example, I was doing a search of all my resources for "habit" and the search included "habits", and "habitation

I too have been using the Logos 9 preaching mode. I've actually used it for around 10-12 sermons already and it has worked without any glitches. It syncs perfectly well between my MacBookPro and iPad Pro. I could give more details, but to be honest, it is much better than I thought it would be!

Dear fellow Logos users and Hebrew students/readers: I've been trying to diagram Hebrew passages using the tool called "Sentence Diagrammer." I've run into a few issues. First, the BHS-W font has spaces between characters so the Hebrew words are tough to read. I want to use the BHS-W because it has Hebrew accents. The regular BHS works fine, but there

Yes, Dave, a MacBookPro running 10.14.4 (Mojave).

Agreed - I'd love to disable it. Thankfully my dropdown menu (exactly like you describe!) isn't very slow, but it still gets in the way. I did email Logos and tell them I'd love to have this fixed!
-
Thanks for the response. When I do press enter, the drop-down box stays there. I have to click elsewhere on the screen to get the drop-down box to disappear.

I'd have to say my main and nagging frustrating with Logos 8 is the drop-down menu whenever I type a word in the "inline search" field of a resource. The menu drops down and I inevitably click on a word I did not want to click on. I wish I could shut the drop-down menu off! Anyone have any workarounds for this? Thanks!!!

Thanks, I appreciate it! I feel dumb for not thinking of that myself. I'll blame my Monday morning brain! Have a good day.

Dear fellow macOS users: I recently found a helpful piece of software for my MacBook called "cheatsheet." It gives me all the keyboard shortcuts for whatever program I'm running on my MacBook. Anyway, it doesn't show many shortcuts for Logos8. Does anyone have a list of macOS shortcuts for Logos8 - and are there quite a few or not so many? Thanks in

Thanks Mike! I was wondering more about the sizing of the media/wallpaper. I think the wallpaper size I'm looking for (iPhone XR) is 828x1792 or 944×2048. I guess I can mess around with the sizes on Logos Media, but the media layouts I see are something like landscape mode instead of portrait. Have a good day!

Anyone know how to use the Logos Media tool to make a wallpaper for their smartphone? Wanted to put a Blaise Pascal quote on my iPhone lock screen using the Media tool. Is it possible? Would be cool!

Levi (and others), thanks again for the help! I really appreciate it. I found out I could shop on Apple with a military discount, so I ended up getting a refurbished July 2018 MacBook Pro 15.4, 2.6GHz, Core i7, 16GB RAM, 512SSD, Radeon Pro Graphics 560X. Should last me quite awhile, and it should be great for Logos 8! Blessings in your labors, Shane

Thanks Armin. Good point. I will lower my expectations for speed! And if I do upgrade, I'll miss the magsafe power cord and the USB ports. It's not a totally easy decision! I guess what sways me is the fact that right now since my 2013 MBP is running strong (minus a bad battery), I can sell it for a decent price. This might not be the case in 8 or 12
