  • Re: Linux version of Logos Bible Software

I'm running the logos app on chrome with arc welder on ubuntu. It works will. Also use evernote too! I have a Mac so can do everything on that but would much prefer to move over completely to Linux. The logos 5 Mac version uses mono, logos 6 uses chromium frameworks, which should be easer to use on Linux. It looks as though Logos will eventually go

Thank you alabama24. I've tried again to create a reading plan. This is with comers (,) between the passages. I tried with semi-colons (;) but this produced something totally different! Here's my new crash report... 2678.Logos4Crash.txt 3364.Logos4Error.log I've included both. Any help appreciated.

Using: Logos Bible Software 4.5b SR-3 (4.52.0.2208) Creating my own plan with either ESV or NASB crashes logos 0675.Logos4Crash.txt If anyone knows a work around I'd be grateful, or, if I'm doing something wrong, which is quite feasible! James

You can also add HTC Desire HD running 2.3.3, installed without problems and runs fine.

Hi Mike, I've been using freemind, its written in java and therefore will run on any platform. It is really powerful. Best of all it is free and open source and in constant development. You can find it here http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page (I hope links are allowed?) Hope you find it useful. Be blessed James

Thanks for the hint to look at libiconv. I pinched a copy off another machine and now it looks like all is working nicely, I have all my books back and update is chugging along good. Thanks again, and sorry for the problems as it was my fault in the first place by messing around with non-Apple-standard libs, which seems kinda confusing when all I was

  • Re: A19 not going anywhere

Hi Mike, Thanks for the encouragement. The only reason I was suggesting a re-install of OSX (and may be I should of said this earlier) is that I "play" around with python and gtk+ and have some non-standard libs, hte main one being libiconv which effect some applications. I don't know if logos uses it, so sometime a clean install helps all round. I

  • Re: A19 not going anywhere

Tom; I've re-started and re-booted several times with charger plugged in. I still have only 7 books when I should have about 124 (I think) I've tried Update resources and Update now but nothing really happens. "Checking for updates..." appears in the tool bar for about 10 seconds. To re-start indexer I need to reboot. Activity Monitor shows it still

  • Re: A19 not going anywhere

Thanks for looking into this. I did try without being plugged in (doh!). Plugging in starts download and it looks like the downloads are there (in the download folder) I now have some resources of about 6 books, lots are still missing. Can I instigate a re-indexing through command? Would this help me? My logs attached: 34048.Archive 2.zip

(I have limited broadband so this is all I can download this month- so I hope this works) Now I have "preparing you Library" but no icon in the top bar - is this correct? On Activity Monitor the Logos4Indexer has 24 threads and 0 cpu while L4M has 27 threads and 1.4 cpu Please help

  • Re: A19 not going anywhere

Tommy, Thanks for the info. I've tried "Update resources" and "Scan x/path/etc" and neither work. Everytime I start Logos I have: Singing in - Preparing you Library (5 sec) - Downloading resources (5 sec) - Home page I still have no resources/library. Is there anything else I can do or try? I've attached logs... 7115.Archive.zip

  • Re: A19 not going anywhere

I tihnk that you've miss-understood. I don't mind the indexing or how long it takes (within reason), its just that it doesn't. I get an icon in the bar (says downloading 700 old meg), dissapears after 30 secs or so (download incomplete as network runs at 166k/s so should take about 1.5 hours) and then nothing. The indexer is active in Activity Monitor

  • A19 not going anywhere

"Signing in" for ages. Force quit. when it does sign in then "indexes for a while" is hours. Haven't even got as far as the opening screen. Reverting to A18 and hopefully stay there until A20? If you need logs or whatever let me know... Update, tried going backward (from trash) but not luck, just went into download mode for 5 mins (166k/s) then nothing
