Well, I installed with the first DEV Beta and I have to say it has been rock solid for me. The paste in Mac has always broken before but this time it is solid. The entire Mac is a new machine and the UI is fantastic. I am odd when it comes to beta's so your milage may differ. My MB is pretty new also. That might make a difference.
-
JT, I have told myself every BETA build, "Don't do it" I have even repeated it over and over again. I love software. I love updates. I am a sick man at times. Thank you for sharing - but I never seem to listen to those fine print words even on the Mac Dev site! And I have paid the price many times over.
-
Douglas, can you copy and past still? I use that so much. The beta is out if you are a Developer or pay that fee
-
Just seeing if anyone has taken the plunge and how it is doing.
-
So funny - I don't know what it is in LOGOS but every beta I can have 95% of my apps work, but LOGOS won't. I wonder what it is about Logos.
-
I am running the beta of Logos and Mac OS Sierra. No issues. I don't know why I do this. Last betas I had issues. :)
-
OK, I think I am getting it. My question though is this. I default to ESV - there is no way of telling the service to fetch NIV?
-
Integ, I understand the scripts part, but how does LB know what to do? Can I have different scripts for different Bible translations? Just trying to understand all this before I go at it. I did get LB, looks powerful, just a learning curve.
-
Integ, Boy for a year I have been looking for this. Could you coach me on this? The video posted doesn't seem to work with the new browser. I do not know how to connect outside of this forum. I am sure then you can do multiple services for different Bible versions?
-
Ah, thanks for the input Martin, I did not know that. When the paste comes into Pages it is still highlighted so I then hit my keystroke command for the default text. I did not know that would change the superscript, subscript, bold, italic, etc. text. Thanks for the lesson. It would be cool if there was a service that at the least gave you that option
-
Hugh, You are correct for Word! I use Pages for sermon and teaching prep. I could not get it to work via mouse or keystroke (I have alt/shift/7 as my hotkey). The funny thing is the service IS getting the reference. It is just not auto pasting in Word. If you hit command/v your text will paste in. Also if you hit command/shift/v the reference will paste

The new system service says (Logos) - this was smart as to make sure we were using the correct one.
-
Thanks Alabama24! HUGH - Glad it is working for you!!!
-
Steve, It would be great if you could make the service match the destination formatting. I think that is a big code fix :) .... PLEASE. Thanks for fixing too!! Rino
-
Hugh, I know that Alabama was making comments about the beta, but I can tell you that this build has been solid for me. Everything is back working. You can download the beta link and then it will update when the final is released. Just saying my experience ;) Rino

Hugh, Accordance will allow you to change the formatting in the preferences under Citation. The system services that Accordance used prior version 11 was done by Joe Weaks - a pastor/programmer hobbiest. It was a great package because you could tell every service to used a different key command. So F7 could have been ESV, F8 could be NIV. It was great
-
common "tide" That was a good one!
-
Hugh, I am just curious of what format capabilities is better in Logos? I think Accordance is much better in that. It matches destination formatting and you can tell it how to paste (i.e.. paragraph, verse by verse) I wish we could have morphed it all into one. Logos was a gift to me. Accordance is what I used for the longest time. They are both amazing

Mike, I updated to the latest build of 10.11.1 (GM) and then Logos beta.4. Now the service reads different. Does yours say, (logos)?
