Thank you re: Logos Now. I have investigated it. A side comment - Have you ever considered changing your login to alabama24auburn0? Gerry

  • Re: Tyndale Commentary - Four Volumes in the Silver

Well I just talked to John in customer service who told me there were a lot of upgrades to the Tyndale listed under commentaries with the upgrade to Silver for me. The thing is they aren't listed as being part of the Tyndale set. This of course just sort of adds to the confusion. Also I learned that if I upgrade to the Silver now all I get are resources

Apparently what I currently own is a summary of these four selections and not the actual commentary. This is psalms..... Here is what I will get....... Whoops, I could have blown that up, but I suppose you get it. At any rate, I'll check with the helpful folks at Logos. Thanx, folks. Gerry

Additionally, I upgraded to the Logos 7 Bronze from an older Silver. Was the Tyndale in there somewhere? Gerry

I may have been a bit hasty (not the first time). Last thing I knew, I didn't have any of the Tyndale in my Bronze collection. Now I checked and practically all of the Tyndale is in my library. My main reason for upgrading to the Silver was going to be to get the Tyndale. I guess I'm losing my marbles! Gerry

  • Tyndale Commentary - Four Volumes in the Silver

I know that at 79 years of age my memory is getting a bit hazy, however it seems to me that the Silver Level that was offered when Logos 7 first appeared included the entire Tyndale Commentary. Now I just checked and it seems that only 4 of the 49 volumes come with the Silver. Before I begin my rant, I want to know if my memory has failed me or not
Documents such as this are shared via a Faithlife group - a shared document.
Then they are still available? That's all I was curious about. Gerry
Are you confusing that with personal books (PBB from Libronix is not compatible with Logos 4+).
No! Notes are available in Bible resources under Visual Filters / Notes and Highlights. I thought you were around when Joseph Nally and ten of us compiled the notes to the 1599 Geneva Bible, Dave. Okay, I think I have the answer. In the first place, the file that is the 1599 Geneva Bible was released quite some time ago. I have it too. It was released by the E4 Group, a publisher known for not going to a great deal of trouble in developing a resource. Their Geneva Bible reflects that. Tom, I believe you'll find the first page of your Geneva Bible

  • Geneva Bible Notes - English Bible Collection

In the recently released English Bible Collection there is a Geneva Bible as well as the Geneva Bible notes file. I wonder if the Bible / Notes are from the 1599 Bible edition. The publishing date in both files read 1555. Also, can the notes file be converted to an actual Logos notes file? Here's the reason for my curiousity. Back in 2007 a group of

  • Re: Time Out For a Quick Quiz
Found it using Google "Shortest verse in the NIV" This showed me a sight called quora dot com that claims Job 3:2 is the shortest in the NIV with just 6 letters (both 1984 & 2011). BTW, it's also the shortest in the NLT, HCSB, NRSV (though 1 letter longer). The NCV is arguably shorter, since although it is also 6 letters

  • Re: Time Out For a Quick Quiz

So far no one has come up with the correct answer. Let me be more explicit. "Jesus wept" is the shortest verse in most versions of the English Bible. It is two words consisting of nine letters. In the NIV, there is a verse of two words consisting of fewer than nine letters, making it the shortest verse in the Bible. Sad to say, Google is wrong in this

  • Time Out For a Quick Quiz

Hope no one minds this. We all know that John 11:35, "Jesus wept" is generally accepted as the shortest verse in the Bible. However, this does not hold true in all versions. I don't know that Logos' search engine will help you here. This is not a trick question. What is the shortest verse in the NIV? Gerry

  • Re: Pre-Pubs in Logos 7 Base Packages

This gets a little complicated when PART of a resource in CP is available in a base package. I'm speaking of the English Bible Collection which has been reposing in CP for over two years! At least one and possibly two of those Bibles are included in the V7 Silver.

  • Re: Two Prices - Why?

Appreciate the help. I don't subscribe to rentware and even the $143 is a stretch. I'll likely get 7 the way I got 6; get the free engine and add datasets, etcetera a few at a time. Gerry
