  • Re: Using "title:Josephus" in SEARCH - not working? But works in Library...

Thanks Graham. That did the trick! Don't know why the search engine doesn't pick that up in the general search box since I asked it to find that across all resources... and told it where to look. I thought you could also sort or search by Publisher too (like pub:tyndale)... Feature request I suppose.

  • Using "title:Josephus" in SEARCH - not working? But works in Library...

So if I use this string in SEARCH, I get three titles (without the word Josephus in the name)... but when I use it in my Library, I get 6+ resources I own. The logic here seems odd. I am a newbie but also taking some MP classes and have no idea why this is (or isn't in my case) happening. Insight please! Dave BTW - Platinum, latest version (6.1 SR3

Just one issue I've noticed the last 2-3 updates. The "Release Notes" is no longer included when I get an update. There was a link in the past to them but haven't seen the link for the past month or longer. Using a Mac and Platinum version... Hope you can pass along Dylan. Dave

Yeah. It did index fairly quick for me too. My sincere hope is that V7 will be lightening fast. Add some turbos, nitrous... etc to this engine (as the analogy goes)..

  • Re: What is Logos CEF?

AHHHH. I now remember posting this before... HAHAHA. I guess what wasn't made clear was WHY this is a Chrome issue... I use FF and Safari. Must be due to the way Logos updates the homepage in the application? Thanks. Dave

  • Re: What is Logos CEF?

Alan- Why does my Mac Activity Monitor constantly show this resource is *NOT RESPONDING* - same file name where one is active and the other is "not responding" - STRANGE. Seems like a problem (even if you're running it behind in case something happens) - just think if it's required, it should be active. And everything else is working...Thoughts? Thanks

Just an update. Logos posted a fix today to an issue they described as the following: Did I cancel an index when restarting? Perhaps. I know I launched it after a recent index attempt. No idea if that's what I did, but hoping this fixed it :) ------------ Logos 6.0a SR-3 Logos 6.0a SR-3 (6.0.1.1339) was released on December 10, 2014. Startup Fixed crash

Very strange Dave & Alabama. It crashed, I opened the Logging Utility and archived it... then reopened Logos. Of course I didn't post it for another day or so on the forum because I already captured the event. I don't *think* there was anything else I could have done to log this issue. VERY ODD.

Yeah - I posted that second one because there was some feedback on the first one dated 12/4 only referenced a crash from October per MJ Smith (not to be confused with Mark Smith). So I posted a previous clean archive snapped two days before the crash. What I am learning is that archive tool has a long history associated with my machine. Kinda scary

#MJ - I took this from the Consule Message.log referencing the crash I experienced. Does the help narrow the time for you? 12-4-14 @ 15:45 Thanks for your help. Dave

  • Re: Bug: Logos v6 crashes AGAIN @ Starbucks

I just disabled and re-enabled the Logging tool... Hope that helps. Makes me ask the question - did anything break the logging tool with recent API update? Just a thought... I am running the latest one from the Logos site:

  • Re: Bug: Logos v6 crashes AGAIN @ Starbucks

#MJ - How can that be - I have 74GB free now... before the crash? Very strange. So I will blame SB :) Perhaps my logging tool wasn't working. IDK. I saved one on 12/2 too (two days BEFORE my SB crash) - but that must have garbage in it from October as well... Attached if that helps. Maybe you'll see the old October one in there too - who knows anymore

  • Re: Logos V6 Mac Downloading fixed, now PLS FIX INDEXING

It does seem odd to me too... as if they don't have a proper script to move them from one folder to a new one and delete the old... OR to rename the folder upon an upgrade. I only started with v5 so the v4 was a real shocker. Perhaps they can tidy this up in the future. I bet we'll have to wait till v7 comes out (v7, code name: perfection).

  • Bug: Logos v6 crashes AGAIN @ Starbucks

This is not new. I posted this issue in a previous post here: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/94337/655278.aspx#655278 I've gotta believe there's an issue here guys... HELP. And yes, once I restart Logos, it works. And no, I wasn't opening after a reindex or upgrade (I don't believe). Dave BTW - it's a slooooooow ATT Wifi connection that may be

Hi Dave- Finally got to digging into that folder and didn't find anything in the folder... it was empty. Also, seems odd that I have a v4 folder since I started with version 5... IDK. Thanks for your help. Dave

Hey #Bradley - thanks for the reply. Yeah, I know in the past a reindex was delicate - taking hours so I didn't think it would still work. However, at 50% or so I did TRY to hit the upper right icon (home icon) and even the resource one or two times. I'd like to say at one point the resources showed but then disappeared... No idea why. Probably lag

  • Re: Logos V6 Mac Downloading fixed, now PLS FIX INDEXING

Great suggestions #Mab. I use Memory Magic and it seems to do the trick. Since freeing up 75GB on the SSD, it's running much smoother, but again, indexing might well just be the Logos Achilles heel for some time. Dave PS - so happy the download today was super quick... Glad the fixed the Mac issue there via a terminal line fix. Nice job Logos. KUDOS

I know # alabama24 . Good chatting with ya again. It was a fix they just sent through end of last week which I am grateful for of course... but they kept blaming Apple. I would think they would have addressed it sooner. Mac users should check this out... https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/mac/error-yosemite But I think they've added most of this minus
