After using PC's for over 30 years (anyone remember the original Radio shack/Tandy PC's?) the best lesson I've learned is always wait a bit before buying a new release. No matter how much beta testing is done there are always plenty of bugs to fix once the release happens. This lesson has done wonders for my blood pressure readings over the years.

What would be sweet if is one could just get a list of the books new to you in each base package rather than having to scroll through the entire list. For example, if I'm looking for what is new to me in Platinum I really don't want to scroll through several screens of books that are in portfolio.

Thanks! It's downloading resources now.

Did a search on found links for Logos 4, but not 5. Have Logos 5 on a windows 7 machine currently. Just bought a new computer with Windows 8. Is there a simple way to download and unlock resources on it?

Just saw this thread and the price is now $13.95. May I ask what the "deal" price was?
It's today's daily twitter deal ( https://twitter.com/logos ), and so the sale is still on for a limited time (50% off). The savings aren't shown on the description page, but if you add it to your
Do you have to download the Verbum program to use it? Or is it usable in Logos?
No. I downloaded, opened, and looked through the book. Logos 5.

And Bruce, it just went below 100% at 49.

Ah, yes. Got it.

Yes...at $49...and yes it is close, very close to being lower...If people once again reconsider their bids, we can get this down to $40. If you are willing to spend $49 on this resource, why not bid lower today and on Friday morning, bid back up to $49 if your bid fails to be high enough... My bid is

Josh, you are missing his point. But it is his point so up to him to respond if he wishes.

I think I or with the help of others who were bidding just as I was pushed it over the top. Closing Friday. http://www.logos.com/product/34192/history-of-the-franks

Does Logos offer just the Classic Commentaries sets on the individual books as a set without the added collections? I looked and didn't see this option.

Looks like a few more bids will drop it to $25.00

I'm specifically looking at the titles by Bock, Kaiser, and Robertson; Bock's Studying the Historical Jesus: A Guide to Sources and Methods and Kaiser's Toward an Exegetical Theology: Biblical Exegesis for Preaching and Teaching and A History of Israel: From the Bronze Age through the Jewish Wars . Wondering if anyone has read these or any other thoughts

Thanks, fgh. I forgot about Perseus - I guess I have them twice.
I'm so on the fence on that one it's ok with me either way... just wondered what was up.
I bid on this also. But if you have kindle or kindle for PC (which i do and is free) you can get Plato's Dialogues for free or at least it was when I downloaded. I'm not sure if I will keep the order since I'm not sure the Logos software

Count me as one of the Protestants that doesn't care if Logos chooses to re-brand their platform and includes specific resources to market their software to Roman Catholics or anybody else for that matter. Nor do I think they should add Protestant to the packages just to please a portion of their client base. Says far more about the OP and others that
