Graham Criddle, you sir, are a genius! Your suggestion worked just fine. I actually followed your procedure on my iPhone app, and found to my delight, it had automatically sorted itself out on my iPad. No more struggling with 17th Century Italian!

I thought of a work around... buy the book, then hide it. But it costs 13 bucks - so I ain't trying that! Seriously, am I the only one who has this problem? It's really annoying... :)

My prioritised Bibles in L6 (Mac) are: ESV, UBS4, NET, NIV84, REB The GDB appears on iPad list after USB4, and bumps off REB. I just noticed that when I click on "MY top Bibles" on the iPad (rather than "top Bibles") I get this list: AMP, CJB, CEV, ESV, GNB. Confusing much?

How do I get rid of the Giovanni Diodati Bibbia in my Top Bibles list in the iPad app? I do not speak old Italian (or whatever it is) and I do not own this Bible. It is not in my Top Bibles. Yet it persists in insinuating itself into my Top Bibles when I do a passage comparison in the iPad app. Is there anything I can do to make it go away foreve? Thanks

Well, despite my kudos to Mark, i'm still having problems. I now have L6 to play with, but it's still dl'ing various resources - 261 mg to go - but nada happening. It starts to dl, then stalls, and starts over again. To complicate things, it says it's indexing my library, but when I mouse over the little triangle on top right,it is stuck at 0%. So if

Mark Nolette... you, sir, are a genius! I have only been using a mac for about three weeks, but your suggestion about fixing permissions (whatever that means!) worked a treat. I finished dl'ing the massive update in an hour or so, and then L6 installed without a hitch. And now it's dl'ing even more stuff. Again, thanks for the suggestion. Cheers from

G'day, I am a new Mac user with Yosemite. I have been trying to DL Logos 6 for over 24 hours, but it keeps getting stuck around 10-15%. I gave up on wifi and plugged the ethernet cable to bypass known wifi problems. Went gangbusters for 30 minutes, then stalled at 15%. It seems to be a unique Logos problem, because I have no trouble downloading anything

The Giovanni Diodati Bibbia is a 17th century Italian translation of the Bible. Mobile users can access it freely (though not download it) even if they havn't purchased it. This is the case with a large number of books. So far so good. Here's the problem. When I do a Text Comparison on my iPad, the GDB pops up as my #3 Top Bible. This bumps my #5 Top

Absolutely, yes.

It wouldn't allow me to add the church history bundle (any size) to my wish list.
-
I haven't tried this in 5.0a, but neither did it work properly in L4 pr 5.0 for me. It would use the word style for the header, but not for the verse text. I'm using word 2010.
-
I actually love it! Thanks for the info on what it's called - now I can use it in my docs as well.

I have exactly the same problem on my iPad. In fact I missed out on a couple of free books while I waited for them to fix it! No problems at all on my PC.
-
Hi Rob Thisnis not an uncommon problem. I've had the same one with the last two updates. My error files said there was a corrupt file, but dloading it again didn't fix it it. I had to do the whole uninstall/ install deal again. I guess this is something the logos boffins will have to solve! Cheers Michael

Same here. And the installer folder was empty afterwards. Hopefully the next upgrade will be smooth as. Thanks all for your help. Have a great year studying Gods word with Logos! Michael

Hi Mark, Deon and Betsie, I tried emptying the cache and running a fresh version of logos4.msi from the site, but no joy. I just got the installer warnng message that a newer version of Logos Bible software 4 is already installed. So now I'll try the Method 2 reinstallation. I'm looking forward to seeing what the boffins make of all this! Cheers Michael

Hi Mark, Deon and Betsie, I tried emptying the cache, downloading and running logos4.msi - still no joy. Only the setup warning notice, "a newer version of Logos Bible software 4 is already on your computer." So I'm going to try a reinstall using method 2. I look forward to what the boffins make of all this! Cheers Michael

Haha... Didn't see your last post in time. So, while waiting for chkdsk to complete, I just watched the Sydney fireworks. Yes, it is now 2012 down under, so happy new year from the Sydney Australia logos fan club!

Hi Dave Thanks for your help. Here are my log files. I notice that according to the Logos4Indexer.log something failed. If you can work it out that would be terrific! 2211.Michael's L4 Logs.zip

Every time I run Logos 4, it tells me it is downloading 44.1mgs of update (which I presume is SR 8), but then nothing happens. When I restart Logos, away it goes downloading the 44.1mg yet again. According to the "about" in help, I still have SR 7. I have tried downloading SR 8 from your link, but when I run it it tells me I have a newer version already
