    Hi, Usually, on the 1st or 2nd of the month of my birthday, I receive a Birthday Gift Certificate from FL. First it came in English, then a few years back it came in German. No problem, the code worked anyways. But this year, I haven't received the certificate. Did FL stop it?

    Regarding the time it takes for the problem to appear: I haven't found a reliable pattern so far. This morning, the issue started immediately after the layout was loaded.

However, it is a bit annoying how we got used to the quirks of Logos and just put up with them. I hope that Logos 10 will fix some of these long-standing bugs, as well as the interface inconsistencies

  • Ongoing Sync Issues

    For a long time (over a year?), I am having intermittent sync issues on my Mac. The problem occurs when I have a complex layout with linked panels and numerous open resources and floating windows. I then get the red "!" in the sync circle. Clicking the sync circle causes it to spin for a bit, but then the "!" comes back stating that there are sync errors

    I highly recommend John Groce. He is super fast. He gets in touch with me about deals but not so often that it gets annoying. Great guy. Just use the usual Faithlife e-mail format to contact him.

    I haven't had any issues with the number of notes (currently about 25,000 notes and highlights). However, if the content in a note gets too large, things get slower. In the Mobile apps, large notes can cause more significant challenges, incl. crashes.

    I listed here some GUI inconsistencies: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/197602.aspx Some of them could easily be fixed but they don't seem to be a priority for FL. GUI design is a complex topic with lots of research happening. Still, there is no easy way to ensure a GUI is easy to use. However, GUI inconsistencies significantly reduce usability
