• Re: SEARCH (again,) why is it so difficult ...

I concur with the challenges people experience. My main complaint about Logos is the lack of user friendliness. This is mainly caused by inconsistencies in the user interface as well as the highly complex search syntax. Yes, searches might produce results that are highly precise, but this does not help if I cannot remember the syntax. I also noticed
I entered faithlifemail.com into Google Chrome, then saw a small "i" in a circle next to it. Hovering on it this is what I got:
If it is a legitimate e-mail, the server should be secure.

Let's not forget that people posting in the Logos forums are much more knowledgeable about these things than the average user. FL will have to figure out what to do with those who clicked the link. I am sure this has caused a lot of problems. I have seen phishing attacks that were a lot more obvious. Still, I know of Presidents and CEOs who clicked
What caused me to question it was when I saw it said the new email address was @faithlife.net instead of @faithlife.com. I don't recall seeing anything from them from a .net address before (though I could be mistaken).
I also noticed this. And the whole thing looked a bit unusual. However, it was reasonably well done. But

Sometimes the sidebar gets minimized for unknown reasons. Move your mouse close to the left border of the library pop-up window and see if you can make the sidebar wider.

  • Re: When is Google better than Logos?

I found the answer, however, not by searching but by reading: "The average sheep weighs fifty to seventy pounds." Bailey, K. E. (2003). Jacob and the Prodigal: How Jesus Retold Israel’s Story (p. 78). InterVarsity Press.

  • Re: When is Google better than Logos?

I posted this as an example of different search results between Logos and Google. The top ranked Logos result has (as far as I can see) nothing to do with my query. Google's result does. However, I agree, the Google's result is very "Western". I am fortunate: I see goats and sheep roaming the streets every day and assume they weigh about 30-50 kg. If

I am just studying the parable of the lost sheep. To find out the approx. weight of a sheep, I searched Logos for: weight of a sheep Here is Logos' top ranked result: However, even further down the list, I could not find any useful information in Logos. When I searched for the same phrase using Google, I immediately found the result shown at the top
I also use Google to find Bible verse that are just on the tip of my tongue. Fuzzy search has come a long way, but Google is still faster. I also haven't used my 2% reward. Time is running out but there is nothing in the sales that I don't yet have but still interests me. Let's hope that the May sales will be better.

Yes, my "Close All" crash also still happens: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/204926/1200654.aspx#1200654 The crash happens each time I close one specific layout.

In my case, the "close all" crash happens now fairly regularly. Here is my thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/204624.aspx Even though I posted many logs, there does not seem to be progress towards a fix.
