  • Re: 8.14 (8.14.0.0010) is now available

I received the notification that the updated had downloaded, and I need to restart for the install to complete. After I restarted, there was no link to the release notes. Googling the version brought me to this thread.

  • A video within a recording

Hi everyone, Is it possible to embed a video within a sermon recording and have the video play when the recording is played back? I tried it the other day, and all I got was a black screen where the video should be. I realize it might not be possible, and/or I could have not set things up properly. (For our worship these days, I'm recording the whole

  • Building a Personal Lectionary

Hi everyone, I'm wondering how to build a personal lectionary book that opens to the correct next reading. When I open the Revised Common Lectionary book, it automatically updates to the reading tagged for the next Sunday. My congregation uses the Narrative Lectionary, so I've made a personal book that contains the readings from now until September

  • Re: Digital Bulletins

Hi Myke, If the name of the Content element was picked up as the entry for the bulletin, I'd be fine with that. Our biggest issue is the Content items are 1 - 31 slides in length. Creating a duplicate presentation could work, but it would be cumbersome. We don't have title slides before each item in the liturgy during worship. (In other words, for the
  • Re: Digital Bulletins

Hi Bob, Thanks for asking about an example. Here's one: https://faithlife.com/holycrossburl/bulletins/48852695 At Holy Cross, we project the entire worship service -- hymns, readings, sermon slides, liturgical texts. I realize we might not be typical in that regard in relation to your regular customer base. It makes for a very long digital bulletin

  • Digital Bulletins

I like the digital bulletin that is made from the presentation in Proclaim. Is there a way to only have the titles used for Content slides? The hymns show up just as titles (I'm assuming due to copyright restrictions.) The church I serve follows a prescribed liturgy and we project ALL the text except for three prayers that are prayed by one of the worship
  • Re: Intellectual Property rights and publishing sermons with Proclaim

Thanks Justin, I was able to find the setting and make the change.

  • Intellectual Property rights and publishing sermons with Proclaim

Is there a way to publish a sermon without it being published to a specific church? There are two scenarios where I see this being helpful: for preachers who don't always preach at the same church each week (interim preacher, denominational staff, pulpit supply pastors who cover vacations, etc.) for preachers who maintain the intellectual property rights

  • Faithlife Brand Asset Pack

We're updating our print materials that reside in the pews of the church. We'd like to include the Faithlife icon along with the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram icons in our print material. Is there a link to a Faithlife Brand Asset Pack that could be accessed? Peace & Blessings, Colin+
  • Group page banner dimensions

Can someone please point me to the banner dimensions for a Faithlife group page? I'd like to update our banner, and can't find the dimensions anywhere. (I tried searching and only looked at the first few pages of the 23 pages of results -- obviously I'm not putting the right search criteria in.) Thanks. Peace & Blessings, Colin+

  • Re: The future of Logos and Faithlife: Help us make the right decisions!

Hi Bob, I started using Logos when I was in seminary (1992-1995). I remember buying the diskettes and taking them home to install them. Faithlife has certainly come a long way since those days. For the most part I've been happy with the changes. While my undergrad was in Math and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, I often feel at a loss

  • Digital signage delay

Yesterday, we had a significant delay when projecting the worship slides through the digital signage. We have a TV in the narthex that is connected to a Fire TV stick. During the week, that TV displays the digital signage feed in an endless loop as we have 12 different community groups using the facility each week and find it is an easy way to post

  • Digital Bulletins

Is there a way to stop the automatic posting of digital bulletins? Every week I get two notifications that I've published digital bulletins, when I haven't. Most weeks I completely ignore the digital bulletin -- my congregation just doesn't use it (I love the idea, but the congregation hasn't embraced it.) Occasionally, I'll go in and set one up --

  • Re: SUGGESTION for Essential Features for workflow.

There seems to be some growing support for the idea Sean, so I hope it can be accomplished (I posted a question about this type of idea in another thread and now I'm seeing others as well.)

  • Re: Sermon Workflow with multiple scriptural references

Where is the right spot to raise the issue then? With the creation of Verbum and the Anglican and Lutheran product lines, there must be more users who work with lectionaries than there were in the early days. While I've got no idea the % sales of those product lines to the business, as an uneducated outsider, the lack of ability to deal with uncontiguous

  • Re: Sermon Workflow with multiple scriptural references

Thanks Mark. If I remember correctly it took a while for the copy bible verses tool to have the ability to work with non-contiguous scriptural references. I've been around long enough to know that the good people at Faithlife are smart enough to figure it out (and savvy enough to know if it isn't worth devoting time to from a business perspective.)

  • Sermon Workflow with multiple scriptural references

I don't know if this has been asked elsewhere (I tried to search for it and couldn't find anything -- but that might be because I didn't search well). If it has been asked somewhere else, I'd appreciate a link to that post. Is it possible to use the sermon workflow on multiple scriptural references? The upcoming reading for the Narrative Lectionary

  • Weather in Digital Signage

We just got the digital signage feature to work on a TV in our narthex. It is a great feature that we're really looking forward to using. One of my concerns is, the weather feature is telling me the temperature in Bellingham. While encouraging the congregation to visit Faithlife isn't a bad idea, it would be a lot more helpful to have the weather in

  • Is there a way to exclude certain songs from the Setlist?

I really like the feature in Proclaim to be able to share the Setlist, and I'm running into some difficulty in making it work for our setting. This is what gets generated for next Sunday: Gloria, Acclamation, Let the vineyards, and Sanctus are musical pieces that are part of the mass setting. Lord listen to your children praying is sung after each prayer
