I've created a suggestion for this in the Faithlife Feedback site: Custom Lectionary in Sermon Manager | Faithlife Feedback

I've got a personal book that is tagged as a lectionary (based on the Narrative Lectionary). It is on my home page, and not available for selection in the Sermon Manager. (I was just about to ask if someone knew how to do this, and found this post.)

  • Sermon Title slide format inconsistent between L9 and Proclaim.

Hi, I've tried to post this before, and not been able to get the screenshots to post, so I'm trying again, with the hopes I get it right this time. I've built my sermon in L9 sermon builder, and when I edit the slide, it looks like this: The text boxes for Sermon Title, Subheader, and Reference are clearly visible. When I export the sermon from L9 into

  • Re: Sermon Slides not formatting properly when being exported from Logos to Proclaim.

Hi Gregory, I figured when Logos 9 got the Smart Media capability, that somehow they had ended the consistency issues. However it appears as if the haven't. In the long run it isn't a deal breaker (I'd love it to be fixed but I'm tying their hands by not being able to post my screenshots -- i.e. it isn't fair to ask them to fix something they can't

  • Re: Sermon Slides not formatting properly when being exported from Logos to Proclaim.

Hi Jordan, I seem to be doing something wrong as I've not been able to get the screenshots to stick in any of my posts recently, and I've given up formatting slides in the Sermon Builder before exporting them to Proclaim. I've had a number of issues with getting slides to move into Proclaim in the same format that I think they're in when in the Sermon

  • Re: Is it possible to link note files in Logos 9?

Thanks xnman As some of my notes are in workflows, they are often tied to multiple verses (a whole reading on a Sunday). I might be able to do something similar, thanks for the idea.

  • Re: Is it possible to link note files in Logos 9?

Thanks MJ. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one to have the issue. Not knowing (and I don't need to know) how the system is built, I have no idea how hard (or easy) it would be to link multiple note files to a sermon, however I could see that it could have great potential. I just created my first sermon today using the new system, and I was really

  • Re: 9.0 SR-1 (9.0.0.0172) is now available
I no longer seem to be getting the version update notification with service release notes (that used to be part of the 'small blue circle'). Is this a bug?
I'm thinking it is not a bug. The same is true in Faithlife Proclaim. Having the link to the release notes was helpful to me (I read them each time). Now, I go

Thanks Dave, This does solve most of the issues I have. It still doesn't allow for including more than one Notebook into a Sermon Builder file, but using tags will work as a workaround. Thanks for defining facets for me (I was looking for edges or viewpoints -- like a multi-faceted diamond and just wasn't grasping what was being talked about.)

  • Re: Is it possible to link note files in Logos 9?

Hi Philana, I'm not sure how I would save each note in the same notebook. I have a notebook created by the Basic Bible Study workflow for each Sunday or in the case of non-contiguous readings like an upcoming Sunday's: multiple notebooks (one for each section of the reading--this week it is three non-contiguous readings). I then have the notebook for

  • Dynamic Text in Personal Book using Dark Mode

The church I serve uses a lectionary that is not native to Logos. I finally got the time today to create my own personal book for the lectionary. When I use {{dtext ref=Bible:XXXXX #:#-#}} in Dark Mode, the inserted text can't be seen. Is there a filter that can be used to force the text to show? (I can highlight the text, so I know it is there, I just

  • Is it possible to link note files in Logos 9?

Being able to link a note file into a Sermon Builder file, made me wonder if I can link note files to other note files as well. Here's my situation: My weekly texts come from the Narrative Lectionary. I group them into series (3-4-5 weeks at a time) sometimes based on a book, or based on a theme. The themes that I'm dealing with until the end of the

Hi Dave, It was not compiled with Lectionary Support. I'm going to give that a try now and see how it goes. Thanks.

Thanks. I know I had the feature turned on for emails to be sent to me when replies were posted, and I didn't remember seeing one, and the search function still isn't working for me now. Although, I did find how to find my own posts this morning through my profile.

  • Personal Book

Hi everyone, I'm pretty sure I asked this question before, and the search function isn't working for me at the moment, so please forgive me for asking it again. I've created a Personal Book in Logos 8. It is a collection of the readings we will use in worship from now until January 3. How do I get the book to open to the next Sunday, rather than the

I received the notification that the updated had downloaded, and I need to restart for the install to complete. After I restarted, there was no link to the release notes. Googling the version brought me to this thread.

  • A video within a recording

Hi everyone, Is it possible to embed a video within a sermon recording and have the video play when the recording is played back? I tried it the other day, and all I got was a black screen where the video should be. I realize it might not be possible, and/or I could have not set things up properly. (For our worship these days, I'm recording the whole

  • Building a Personal Lectionary

Hi everyone, I'm wondering how to build a personal lectionary book that opens to the correct next reading. When I open the Revised Common Lectionary book, it automatically updates to the reading tagged for the next Sunday. My congregation uses the Narrative Lectionary, so I've made a personal book that contains the readings from now until September

  • Re: Digital Bulletins

Hi Myke, If the name of the Content element was picked up as the entry for the bulletin, I'd be fine with that. Our biggest issue is the Content items are 1 - 31 slides in length. Creating a duplicate presentation could work, but it would be cumbersome. We don't have title slides before each item in the liturgy during worship. (In other words, for the
  • Re: Digital Bulletins

Hi Bob, Thanks for asking about an example. Here's one: https://faithlife.com/holycrossburl/bulletins/48852695 At Holy Cross, we project the entire worship service -- hymns, readings, sermon slides, liturgical texts. I realize we might not be typical in that regard in relation to your regular customer base. It makes for a very long digital bulletin
