  • Re: Faithlife EBooks Transition *

Thanks, David. It's a bit confusing, but it does make some sense. I had thought that the Faithlife ebooks simply lagged the more sophisticated tagging--hadn't realized that copying/printing portions would not be the same as with a regular Logos resource (in which you also can get the footnote reference if you desire). Thanks again.

Thanks! Kaiser's work is an expansion of his small commentary Total Life published by Moody. I think it is quite good (for its size). Thanks for the comments on the footnotes--that does seem to be the case! I was a bit surprised, but I'm still glad that I got the book.

Hi Mark, I'm reading this post 10 months later, but it's quite helpful. I just bought a faithlife ebook (Walter Kaiser's Coping with Change ) and opened it in Logos. But when I use copy/paste or try to print a section, the footnotes don't show up anywhere. Is this another difference between faithlife ebooks and Logos books (no footnotes, or improperly

  • Re: It's worth checking your pre-pubs

Thanks so much, Mark! It is odd, then, that they still list it as a pre-pub. In any case, this virtually ensures that I'll be getting at least the Diamond upgrade! It has Smyth & Helwys plus the Christianity Today back issues.

So, Mark, the Smyth & Helwys 34-volume commentary set is on pre-pub, yet is included in some of the packages. However, no asterisk highlights their inclusion in these sets. Does that mean that the Smyth & Helwys series is currently ready to go and will be able to be downloaded as soon as the package is purchased? It all seems a bit unclear. And thanks

  • Re: Which package (v8) excites you most?

Yes, this was surprising to me. And it is odd, since that product is not marked with an asterisk when the individual volumes for each collection are listed (since it is forthcoming, but not yet here--right?). So this is a bit confusing to me.

  • Re: Logos Original Language Improvements Vs Accordance 11

Michael, Bibleworks is also a program to consider for original language study. I have it, and use nothing else for the basic Bible tools. It is super fast. Of course, I own lots of resources in Logos as well.

  • Re: Latest Edition of Books

Hi Russ, I agree with you that Logos should indicate that the item they are selling is not the most recent edition. It is not that onerous a task. Amazon does this with their books. However, I disagree that Logos should only sell the newest edition. As long as they clearly mark older editions as such, some people won't mind getting older editions, since

  • Re: Christmas Sale

I should note that I am talking here not about the individual Christmas sale packages, but the package upgrades--such as Reformed Diamond, Reformed Portfolio, Baptist Diamond, etc. The individual Christmas collections contain the links I need for these other (large!) packages--have no idea why Logos doesn't do the same thing for these big upgrade packages

  • Re: Christmas Sale

In addition, on these collections, why don't they include dynamic links to the products? I am looking at one collection with a commentary on Galatians, but there is no indication of author! Just a simple hyperlink for each item would eliminate the confusion.... (or include the authors...) Todd

Definitely not a gender thing. I'd love to see a manual for Logos.

Ah...now I see it! Odd that the print/export options are different on this page than on the bibliography page, but I am not complaining! Thanks! Todd

Ok, I have upgraded to 6, and I don't see that option. "save to CSV." Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place. I created a bibliography of all my works, then went to the print/export option, where I see the same options as in Logos 5: rtf, text, html, XPS, Bibtex, refer/bib, RTS, and Word. Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks!

Great--thanks! Will it include the information in the catalog.db file such as the series, etc.? Hope so! Todd

Steve, I know that your post is old, but I have used it successfully in the past in order to create an excel spreadsheet with many more fields than the current Logos 5 bib. feature supports. It worked fine with earlier files, and I can see the files fine on SQL Browser (one record per line), but when I export to the .csv format and then import from
