  • Re: What Should We Do with Faithlife Assistant?

I would like and use FaithLife assistant, if it could be summoned from outside of the Logos program like “Hey Siri” or “Ok Google” can. For instance, if I am working in Word and could say “Hey Faithlife, copy Ephesians 2:1–8 from the NIV“ and it would just put it on the clipboard. Or, “Hey Faithlife, read Matthew 16:18 from The Bible Knowledge Commentary

I would like to see in Logos 10 the notes UI cleaned up and made into something akin to the modern note taking apps like Craft, Notion or Roam Research.

So sad to hear! Praying for Morris and his family. May God's grace be near their hearts and His Spirit by their sides as they journey through the valley.

Also, the Notes Tool feels unfinished and unpolished. I find it is very clunky and aesthetically unappealing to me even though some of its features are nice - like tagging and anchoring. Notes tools like Notion or even MS OneNote are a pleasure to work in... Logos Notes - not so much.

Not sure if you are interested but there is another way that I automate getting scriptures into Word, but the geek factor is fairly high. It uses the Alfred App and Keyboard Maestro to automate the process. There is an Alfred workflow by Caleb Evans called "YouVersion Suggest" which can copy a scripture to the clipboard from YouVersion. How it works

I put all my macros in a template that I call SermonTemplate.dotm and store it separately on the hard drive. I also store all my keyboard shortcuts and styles on that template and not on the normal.dotm so that I don’t have to redo them each time I change or upgrade computers.

These steps have worked for me. Move current version of Word to Trash bin. Download version 16.43 of Word to Your Mac. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-office-for-mac Copy or move it to your applications folder You should be good to go. I would advise keeping a copy of this on your hard drive just in case. Also, disable
