• PowerPoint in Notes View & L8 Courseware Video

    I'm sure this has been addressed in previous posts, but I don't know where. There are times in classes where a lesson needs to be augmented by a segment from a Courseware video. The "L4" link from the Courseware works just fine as long as I stop the PowerPoint Slide Show, minimize it, then continue the video by arranging it to full screen using the
Charley, thank you so much for posting. I would never have thought about using a USB adapter. I assumed they would be too slow and would need a bunch of memory. I'll definitely consider them when I get ready to upgrade. Is your USB 2.0 or 3.0? Thanks, Dale Heath
Dale, I think it is 2.0. I've had them so long they

    Wow!! Thanks, Richard. This is a work of art! I appreciate the extraordinary amount of time you took to compile the data. My log file showed: [Error] Font 'Cambria' is not a valid font for use in resources. [Warning] Unknown data type in use: topic+topics I'm not sure that this is a serious thing, but just wanted to let you know. thanX!! again {charley

  • Re: No "special deal" for Israel's 70th birthday?

    I read an article early this morning (19th) telling me that there will be 2 celebrations. One now in April, and again in May. The article said that Israel uses 2 calendars. I've since deleted the article and cannot find it at the moment. But a similar statement was found at http://en.sino-israel.org/irc/the-lunar-calendar-of-israel-and-the-jewish-people

  • Re: Who Teaches with Logos Open and Projected

    I use PowerPoint to project selections on the screen as opposed to keeping a LOGOS resource open continually. Since all of my lectures use PPT I simply link key word(s) on the slide to the appropriate section of a resource. This subsequently allows the class to see the citation information while the resource is open prior to returning to the PPT. LOGOS
When using Top Bible in the Text Comparison tool on the desktop windows application (7.6.0.0037), the text comparison tool picks up the user created series and it works fine while I am in a new testament passage but as soon as I move to an OT passage rather than simply moving over to the Lexham Hebrew Bible and

    thanX!! to all who have replied and experimented with this cool idea. Perhaps it will port over to the iOS at some future date. I thought "stitch" was a spiffy word to use to describe this particular action. I broke my own rule about using colloquialisms without explanation. sorry . God bless {charley}

  • Top Bibles change?

    How do I change the Top Bibles on the iPad Mini? I can do this on my desktop easily. I want to be able to "stitch" a series that would show up in the Text Comparison tool. As an example: I was successful in following the 24 May Blog entry on "Keeping Greek/Hebrew Skills Sharp" hoping the result of making a Hebrew-Greek Bible in the desktop's Text Comparison

  • Re: Suggestion: How do I pronounce this?

    One of the tricks that I've learned over the years is that proper nouns in he Bible are not always pronounced as in English. Why? Simply because the place names and proper names are not English names, but rather a transliteration attempt in trying to help in pronunciation for those of us who do not speak the original languages. Many Bible dictionaries
