  • Re: Suggestion: The Complete Book of Everyday Christianity

This is an excellent resource! As usuall, some of the best reference works from an evangelical perspective are published by InterVarsity Press. It would be nice if this were a part of the essential IVP Reference Collection along w/ The Dictionary of Scottish Church History & Theology , Dictionary of the Presbyterian & Reformed Tradition in America

  • Beta 5 Pinwheel of Death

I just spent about 30 minutes on the line w/ one of your really kind tec support folks named Tobi (I think?) because Beta 5 is hanging up for me on exegetical guide specifically. I get the processing pinwheel for ever and I end up having to force quit. I've restarted my computer several times and it's not helped. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yea, that's basically what I did. I alos threw in a plug for IVP who I'm a bit fond of. They printed it in the US before so why not again. -------------------------------------------- Thank You for your reply Mr. Kraft! I'm excited to learn that it will become available again and I would urge you to make it available in both electronic and print form

Here is the response I got from T & T Clark ------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Mark Denning, Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are now looking into different options of making this title available again, either in electronic form or preferably in print form. We will announce it as soon as it becomes available

I corresponded with the Associate Publisher of IVP, Andy Le Peau, yesterday. He said that the Dictionary of Scottish Church History & Theology originated with T&T Clark and that IVP did not hold the electronic rights to the work. T&T Clark is now owned by Continuum. I decided it could not hurt to ask Continuum to consider digitizing the work with Logos

  • Important Reference Works for the Reformed Tradition

Both of these dictionaries are published by IVP and would be excellent to have in Logos. I'm not aware of anything else quite like them in a digital format. They along with the Dictionary of Christianity in America really should be a part of IVP's Essential Reference Collection but I understand that is not Logos' call. Dictionary Of The Presbyterian

I would like to second this suggestion Mike. I'm one of those folks who is trying to learn Hebrew for the first time. This book is required for Hebrew 2 (second semester hebrew) at the Charlotte NC campus of Gordon-Conwell. Just in case you care; our required Hebrew text book is The First Hebrew Primer: The Adult Beginner's Path to Biblical Hebrew,

Rosie, This is exactly what I have been looking for! Why have I never been able to find this? I've looked for something like this multiple times.

  • Re: Rebuilding Logos.com: Give Us Your Ideas

It would be really helpful if Logos would consider listing all the books they have (or are working on having) in digital format by publishers as well as by author. I don't know about others out there but there are certain publishers that I trust and turn to first on every subject. When I type in "InterVarsity Press" or "P&R Publishing" in the search

  • Re: A plea for better notetaking within L4

I support this plea and I've not even used Logos 4 yet. See I'm a Mac user which means we still don't have access unless you have the time/technical expertise to try the beta. I don't. When I do get it I hope the note taking feature actually works but it probably won't.
