I have not had any more problems with it. There have been several Beta updates over the past couple of weeks.

I would tend to agree. It is reliable as far as accuracy. It is designed for the layperson or beginning pastor. I still use it occasionally but most often utilize more detailed lexicons.

Tonight I am having an issue exporting documents from Logos into PDF or Word. Logos crashes every time. Not sure if it is the update that they just did or the Beta version of Mojave. Anyone else having the same issue?

Michael, you may have already done this, but have you tried to call the Faithlife tech support team? I have always found them to be VERY responsive and helpful. Sometimes actually talking to a person and letting them do a screen share session fixes the issue. They will let you know though if it is something they can’t fix.

So far so good. Have not encountered any weird behavior from Logos with Mojave.

Thanks my friend. That did not do the trick, but it did lead me to another article that did fix the problem. There was still some old junk files left behind even though I had deleted Logos. Once I deleted those it was smooth sailing.

  • Logos will not start

I installed a SSD and more RAM on my iMac this week. Got it back tonight and restored from a Time Machine backup. Opened Logos and the program acted like it was opening but the sound never dinged and nothing ever opened. When I click "Logos" at the top on the menu bar it is empty. Anyone ever have this happen to them? Any ideas what the problem is?

  • Re: Footnotes not going into Word - any ideas?

I noticed this morning that there was another thread regarding this problem from a couple of months ago and a new "work around" until a fix is available. Technology is a wonderful thing and I am thankful for both Word and Logos that make sermon preparation much, much easier.

Thanks for confirming this was an issue with a Word update. Hope the wonderful folks at Logos/Faithlife will be able to create a fix so that the two programs work well together again. (By the way I have also noticed that when the reference is copied into Word from Logos that the volume number is not included when appropriate.)

Auto. I tried switching it to "Footnote" and this setting caused there to be no citation at all. :(

  • Footnotes not going into Word - any ideas?

I noticed this afternoon that when L7 updated it must have done something with the way that Logos copies into Word and PPT. Normally when I paste text from a commentary or book into a Word document it places a footnote for the quotation. Very handy indeed, especially for academic writing. However, this afternoon while working on a sermon for Sunday

  • Links "messed" up and don't know how to fix

Since upgrading to L7 when I put my cursor over a Bible passage it shows a preview of a commentary over that passage rather than the verses from my preferred Bible translation as it used to in L6 (and every version before as far as my memory serves). I for the life of me can not figure out how to get to go back to the way that it was. Can anyone help

I have had a iMac for a few years and found it to be a bit sluggish with running Logos 7 because of the memory that it wants to eat up. I just bought a new macBook Pro and it has 16GB of RAM (the desktop has 8GB) and it runs much, much faster and better, so I would spring for the increased memory. Running L7 on my macBook has never been sluggish and

  • Missing resources in search results since upgrade

Has anyone else noticed that certain books are not included in search results in L7? I am preaching through Genesis at my church on Sunday mornings. This week I am on chapter 12. In creating a passage guide (with all commentaries selected) it gives results from several of the study Bibles that I have in my library. However, I noticed that it left off

  • Re: How do I find the page number of a digital resource for citation purposes?

Also, it is usually advisable to indicate that you are using an electronic edition of published work. I found when using several resources in Logos the page numbers were a bit different than the physical book when writing my dissertation. Indicating that you are using Logos Bible Software edition is a good way to head off any potential troubles. (The
