Thanks for your reply Joe. I checked my tablet and it is 5.1, with no updates available for it. (My phone is older, not so smart, is 4.1. I don't expect anything for it anymore.) I should add to my original inquiry post... while I am connected via wifi I am able to go to other passages okay, the problem only exists when not connected by the wifi.

  • "Navigation failed" ?

For some time now I always get the "Navigation failed" on my Android (ver. 4.1) tablet using the NIV84 resource when I initiate for a new scripture passage. That resource stays stuck at the last location, currently Gal. 5. Scrolling works okay for the nearby vicinity but it's a problem if I want to go to say, Titus 3. I have changed my preferred Bible

Thanks guys! But, I'm still not there yet. I checked my desktop and cleared the Visual Filter 'text only'. And on the tablet Settings I don't see any item that relates to text only... or I can't find it. Maybe I need to uninstall my tablet resource and then re-download again?

  • Not a bug, but a Problem...

I have the NIV84 as my preferred Bible, but Chapter and Verse do not show along with the text (i.e. no 3:16, 10:45 etc.). The "Title bar" at the top indicates the reference range displayed however. This presents difficulty when you want to identify a specific text I am reading. On the Desktop Logos this feature is an option available from the Visual

The learning curve is long and sometimes steep, but that's alright. I just pray that everyone along with me via this software learns to love and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

  • Names of God dataset...

It's not a burning or troublesome question but I'm wondering or trying to understand why "Immanuel" does not appear for a name of Jesus. Matthew quotes Isaiah "...he shall be called Immanuel..." Another dataset of metaphors used for Jesus would be interesting, or is there a Bible search scenario of some kind?

  • Re: Scriptural Index of a Particular Work

Ahhh, yes, I see MJ. Thank you for calling that to my attention. Initially when I tried this method of searching I 'timed out' after a few minutes thinking it wasn't working! But I tried again and it does work. Thanks again, Dave

MJ, How do you format that search in Logos 6? Would this begin from the inline search? This certainly could be very helpful in locating an author's thoughts related to a particular passages in a particulars book. Thank you, Dave

  • Re: Download new resources failure...

Well, this morning after doing a second restart, it connected with the FL server and the 2 resources came in and indexed fine. I did have download between midnight and 7:00 am. I can't say why or understand how it worked out now, but I'm happy! Maybe I should just never-mind the update now and possess my soul in patience for a day or two. Thank you

  • Download new resources failure...

Is there a trick to make new resources download after you close and restart Logos? I have powered down my PC, tried "update resources" and "update now" - all to no avail. It's been 30 hours since my order confirmation email. I experienced this a few weeks ago as well but it cleared itself up suddenly for some unknown reason. Any suggestions? I am running

  • Logos will not "update now"

I see here in the forum that update to Logos 6.4 is available. Last night and again this morning typing the command "update now" doesn't find anything or the software seems to be stuck in a 'loop' displaying "Checking for updates" beside the synchronizing indicator. Program settings are set for automatic downloading. Closing / restarting Logos and even
