  • The "Undelete" feature... Thank you Logos!!!

In a moment of inattention, I deleted not only the intended note, but the whole notebook! My blood pressure skyrocketed when I realized the many hours of study notes were gone. In half panic I searched and found Logos had the deleted notebook in the cloud server where I was able to undelete the deleted. Thank you Faithlife for this feature! I am grateful

  • Re: SUGGESTION: Make Mobile Ed courses available for discount purchase

I would like to add my voice in support of this suggestion. I am grateful for FL making Mobile Ed courses available through Faithlife Connect, and have purchased a couple of them to have as a permanent resource. There has been other courses I've found to be especially beneficial, that would be particularly helpful in another season of ministry.

  • SUGGESTION: Add the option to Print/Export the Sermon Manager report

It would be helpful to Print the Sermon Manager report . Elders, teachers leading small Bible study groups or Sunday school classes who follow the pastors preaching passages would benefit their preparations by having a "heads up" for an expected schedule.

  • Re: New in Logos 9: Counseling Guide

Thank you Sean. I am delighted to see this feature and believe there is great potential to aid elders in their works of service in their church family. So I eagerly await FL additional annotated resources! Praying blessings for you and team in this work.

  • Re: New in Logos 9: Counseling Guide

I'm disappointed with this guide presently because of the very limited results I get after entering a topic. I only see a summary from the Baker Encyclopedia of Psychology and Counselling, only 2-4 Bible passages, and no results of monographs. I do have more than 20 resources related to psychology/counselling. A basic search in my counselling collection

Oh wow Graham! Of coarse. I don't know how I overlooked that. Thank you very much for catching that. And thank you and to the many others who are so helpful in the forums.

  • Visual Filters confusion

I've set up a Visual Filter document that will bring my attention to what I call "Alert Words" like "therefore"; "if"; "but" and a few others. As I read along in the NT they are highlighted every time, nice! However, this does not happen while reading in the OT. The same results occur regardless of English Bible versions. Other Visual Filters function

Thank you for these ideas Dave. I didn't specify Everything, but following your suggestion I'm good now. The Concordance tool has been a favorite of mine! I appreciate your advice!

Thanks Levi. That's a good point... I have done a lot of videos including some Mobile Ed courses.

  • Maybe a silly CPU Geeky question...

Recently I bought a new laptop to meet a need for mobility. L8 installed fine and thankfully it runs very well. One concern I had for the new machine was for an adequate SSD capacity since my desktop machine has consumed nearly 68 GB. The laptop had more space left after installing L8 than I expected. A nice surprise! This made me curious and I found

Thanks for your reply Joe. I checked my tablet and it is 5.1, with no updates available for it. (My phone is older, not so smart, is 4.1. I don't expect anything for it anymore.) I should add to my original inquiry post... while I am connected via wifi I am able to go to other passages okay, the problem only exists when not connected by the wifi.

  • "Navigation failed" ?

For some time now I always get the "Navigation failed" on my Android (ver. 4.1) tablet using the NIV84 resource when I initiate for a new scripture passage. That resource stays stuck at the last location, currently Gal. 5. Scrolling works okay for the nearby vicinity but it's a problem if I want to go to say, Titus 3. I have changed my preferred Bible

  • Re: Not a bug, but a Problem...

Thanks guys! But, I'm still not there yet. I checked my desktop and cleared the Visual Filter 'text only'. And on the tablet Settings I don't see any item that relates to text only... or I can't find it. Maybe I need to uninstall my tablet resource and then re-download again?

  • Not a bug, but a Problem...

I have the NIV84 as my preferred Bible, but Chapter and Verse do not show along with the text (i.e. no 3:16, 10:45 etc.). The "Title bar" at the top indicates the reference range displayed however. This presents difficulty when you want to identify a specific text I am reading. On the Desktop Logos this feature is an option available from the Visual

Thank you everyone for the good answers/suggestions! I appreciate your input as it is most helpful in learning to draw on the powerful tools of this wonderful software. The learning curve is long and sometimes steep, but that's alright. I just pray that everyone along with me via this software learns to love and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

  • Names of God dataset...

It's not a burning or troublesome question but I'm wondering or trying to understand why "Immanuel" does not appear for a name of Jesus. Matthew quotes Isaiah "...he shall be called Immanuel..." Another dataset of metaphors used for Jesus would be interesting, or is there a Bible search scenario of some kind?

Ahhh, yes, I see MJ. Thank you for calling that to my attention. Initially when I tried this method of searching I 'timed out' after a few minutes thinking it wasn't working! But I tried again and it does work. Thanks again, Dave
