Jim and David, I have on multiple occasions suggested an organization that does as you suggest. Love Packages sends hundreds of tons a year of good Christian literature oversees where they are distributed. Philipines, Africa, many other locations I know as well. Find out more at http://www.lovepackages.org As for what is Logos to me? A money pit! Well

I would love to have the cash to afford a C.S. Lewis Collection.

I agree Martha, I'm missing the threaded view as well. Most forum softwares can handle it though. I can't imagine this one can't.
-
Well I just looked and they're all there. Too many to pay for if you ask me.
I told a woman how much I paid for my bible software and she gasped! As a geek..I thought that it was reasonable.
I told a mechanic how much I paid for my Bible software, and he said, "well I have to pay for my tools and you have to pay for yours. " I thought that was reasonable.

You'll have to get the reftagger Jscript and put it in the text boxes of the pages you want to use reftagger on: http://help.ning.com/cgi-bin/ning.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2998&p_sid=eAJGDqAj

Apparently you're only interested in knowing me better if I have a kindle. I have a blackberry, why would I want a kindle?

Nathan, If Ning is hosted (I haven't checked) than you'll have to talk to them. If you host Ning, and have access to it's templates you just need to install the Javascript snippet to the footer just before the close body tag (
...Also, there is the “ownership” factor. With Libronix on my machine, and the resources, I have license to, on my hard drive, I feel like I own something. In a thin client environment, I'm bothered by the fact that I'm just being allowed to use something that belongs to someone else.
I agree Paul. This is part of what

Notescraps was coded by Logos as part of a test of some glitzy programming thingy (technical term's there). So yeah it's Logos.
Keep an eye on the Pre-Pub page.
Oh, my aching wallet!
...The custom avatars are great. Now we know what everyone looks like.
I'm not so sure that's a good thing. ;-)

I'd wager than when the newsgroups are reaching termination there will be an announcement. you can also bet I'll ensure I have a full backup of all the outdated and irrellevant information. (Yuk, they've licenced the MSN smilies.)
-
I agree it's time for an update on the progress here. Back in the newsgroups it was mentioned that there were "discussions" being held but dead silence as far as we're concerned since then. I'm dumbfounded that the ESVSB is available in bunches of formats but not Libronix. Huh?
I see that this software doesn't like Greek since
EEK! ἑλληνικός doesn't work? If Greek and Hebrew don't work that could be a problem for these forums. Quick someone at Logos find the UTF-8 switch! hmm, the preview seemed to indicate that Greek worked.

FWIW I would suggest spending some time with PHPbb. I'm not suggesting you switch to it (well, yes I am) but that you get out there and play with other forum software, the Telligent Community Server (http://communityserver.com/) forums don't work the same way as many others; and that is a problem because we expect certain things to act a certain way

There's no chance I would be happy with Logos in the cloud. And that comes from a guy who considers himself more net savvy than the average user. I use Google calendar and a few other cloud components but only because I have local copies of the data. Living out in the country as I do, internet connections can be tenuous. Most of you "city dwellers"

You're right Dr. Hartman, that sums it up. All of the above manages to touch in one way or another upon my likes and dislikes of the NG's and the forums. Last thing I'll say is that the ONLY reason I have a newsreader installed any more is the Logos Newsgroups. Lose them and switch to forums and at least I can remove that bit of software and quit dealing

I'm with you guys on this one. I would skip it but this is the set I've been hoping for, I'd better be done for a long while now.

I'm having a hard time figuring out which forum software this is. There might be baked in functionality for this already (or not).
