This isn't an issue of "opinion"--it's simply and flagrantly false, and demonstrably so.
Many disagree. I refer you to David Martyn Lloyd-Jones' excellent "Studies in the Sermon on the Mount". What's more, Faithlife also sells Roman Catholic resources, prosperity "gospel" resources, and other false teachers and theologies

Faithlife also sells Roman Catholic resources, prosperity "gospel" resources, and other false teachers and theologies (such as books by Frederick K. Price and Sarah Young), all of which are significantly more spiritually dangerous than a disagreement over whether the Pharisees followed the Law

  • Re: What are the top bugs or incomplete features that make your Logos life a pain?

    • There is no way to create custom slide groups in the Sermon Builder. • There is no way to import custom slide groups from Proclaim. • Sermon slides that are transferred to Proclaim cannot be easily changed to another temple (only Bible slides properly convert in Proclaim, in my experience; any others, custom or not, must be manually

  • Weird spelling issue

A picture is worth a thousand words: I know I'm getting older, and miss a lot of things I used to catch. But I'm pretty sure I spelled "their" correctly. Yes, I can (and will) add it to Logos' dictionary. But this is something that should probably be looked into.

  • Not sure if this is a Beta issue or Proclaim issue, but . . .

Slides are not properly publishing to Proclaim. Other than the title slide, and the first heading, only Bible text slides are transferring; no heading slides (of which I have several this week) published to Proclaim.

  • Re: Faithlife - please respond: Library issue.

Try changing the text size for the pane. I've experienced the same symptom, and fixed it every time by toggling the text size to anything else, and then back to what I desire.
I've searched but found no answer to my question. Is there ANY way to change the default font for Sermon Builder? It is always set on Medium and I always use Large. It's a pain to always have to change the size and also if I type a scripture and have it posted by Logos it is always posted in Medium and there is no way

  • Searching for Jesus' resurrection

I have a simple question: is there a single search that will return every mention of Jesus' resurrection? My focus is the book of Acts (I want to see how many times the apostles referred to Jesus' resurrection in their preaching). <sense resurrection> brings back 8 results. <sense resurrection event> brings back 3 results (not all of which

  • Re: How does Logos perform on mac m1 with 8MB RAM?

I ran an extensive comparison between an M1 with 8GB Ram and an almost-maxed-out MacBook Pro 16" a few months ago. The video link is in the first post. https://community.logos.com/forums/t/196476.aspx?PageIndex=1
Thanks Gregory, that video is really helpful as is the discussion in the forum. 8GB might be enough to do what I need it to, I might spend the extra money on the SSD space instead. Thanks Neal
My pleasure. For what it's worth, if I had to do it again I would get the 16 GB, as well as the larger SSD. I just like giving

  • Re: Legacy Standard Bible
Any word when Logos is going to have this available? Accordance is already reporting having it.
Just for the record, Logos NEVER gives a date for anything. Even when major updates appear, like Logos 9, it simply happens. They don't even give one day's warning. So the LSB could be released any day, or not

  • May I gently say . . .

that it is very disappointing that Sermon Editor slides cannot be automatically changed in Proclaim using "Smart Slides." A "Header" in Sermon Editor should be recognized as a "Header" in Proclaim. Bible verse slides ARE recognized, which is a step in the right direction, but "content" slides are not. This is a very, very weak point that should be fixed
Acts resurrection also includes Tabitha.
You're right; I expected to look for her (as with Lazarus, the widow's son, promises of OUR resurrection in time, etc).

If you are on a Mac, you can use a program like Keyboard Maestro and automate this. Keyboard Maestro, if you don't know, is a program that runs a series of commands when you trigger them (I'm sure there are comparable programs for Windows; I just don't know what they would be). Triggers can be a typed string. What I would do in your case is have Keyboard

  • Sermon Editor 'jumping around' while editing

I'm using a MacBook Pro, running Big Sur 11.4, and Logos 9.5 SR-1 (9.5.0.0019). When editing text in the Sermon Builder, Logos keeps moving the contents of the window around. I've tried to capture a video of it happening, but the video capture software is misbehaving.
Did you by any chance make any changes and quit the app before things synced?
I certainly could have. I never wait for Logos to sync before closing; I just close, and if it needs to sync it does. I can't imagine that I could have created that many Heading slides without Logos taking time to sync. It's not open
Gregory, We're testing this and looking into it quite a bit. Our early thought is that, for some reason, the Sermon Builder document is reloading. Upon the reload, it's taking the view to the top of the document. Of course now the question is why it's doing the reload action, but in your video where you weren't typing and
