• Searching Notes

Perhaps some benevolent person could make an addition to the wiki article on notes. To the effect that they are searchable by clicking on the panel menu and selecting find, or control + F, or any other information they have on searching notes. I didn't see anything on that subject.

  • Greek thesaurus?

I recently did a brief word study comparing oida and ginosko, and phileo and agape in some Greek lexicons. I noticed the Word Study New Testament Dictionary had a section giving synonyms. Is there the equivalent of a thesaurus for Koine Greek? Or does anyone have suggestions on how to locate and define differences between Greek words that are generally

If someone wanted to do the search as it appears in the front part of Strong's, after right clicking the word your interested in, you would choose selection at the top right, and then choose search this resource on the left. That would give every time the English word occurs in the KJV just as it would appear in Strong's. Which would possibly involve

you must not have searched for Enhanced Strong's Lexicon, because they do offer it, and you may have it. Search your library first.

(Of course one would want a feature to open the note file also. Example: Hover shows the note. One click freezes the window and allows scrolling and hyperlinks. Two clicks brings up the note file.)

  • Re: "Notes Pop-Up" Stationary Window

Hi Douglas, If I understood your suggestion correctly, you want to be able to access a scroll bar and hyperlinks within the note popups from the notes that you have added to a Bible text, just as the hyperlinks work in the integrated notes of a study Bible. This would be a welcomed feature!

For me and probably others, unzipping files, copy to C drive, pdf files etc, etc is like a blind man in a room with a cane, fumbling around until he find what he needs, and hoping he does break a lamp or fall over a coffee table. I managed to copy the Hebrew & Greek videos to my hard drive and insert the revised alphabet videos into the proper place
Is such a thing possible for consideration in Logos 4?
The answer is yes, in a way. In addition to what I suggested above, you can type [go to (whatever scripture reference)] into the main command box instead of the ESV passage box, and Logos will take you to either the Hebrew or Greek and the ESV will follow. The

If you have all three on link set A and click send hyperlinks here only on the Hebrew and Greek panels and not on the ESV panel, then whenever you click a hyperlink, the Hebrew and Greek panels will switch appropriately back and forth and your ESV will follow. Of course if you enter a text in the ESV that goes from N.T to O.T or O.T. to N.T. you would

Perhaps I don't follow what's being said, but if you click on visual filters at the top a resource, a drop down menu lists your note files. If you right click on each one and choose do not show in any resources, that note file will not appear checked in any resource until you check it. You only have to do this once for each note.

  • HIghlighter subscripts

In 4.1 beta 5, when we apply a custom highlight to a Bible text as a superscript and use lower case letters, then select that passage by highlighting it, we can drag into notes and the superscript is maintained. If however the superscript is in Greek it appears on the line. I suggest it maintains the superscript form as lower case English does and maintains

  • Nifty laptop trick

If you have access to a second monitor that you can plug into to your laptop, you can build the second half of a desired layout on that monitor. Then minimize your laptop display and move the tabs from the second monitor onto your laptop. (You start this with a floating window.) Then minimize that window and bring the original layout back up which has

I recently made a passage list from 4 d, using the search. Furthermore I made it with a morph search so my results were in Greek. I opened up a new passage list and began dragging the scripture reference hyperlinks one by one over to the new list and they appeared in English, and then Logos took over and transferred the rest of the list for me. I just

I took the leap and loaded 4.1 Beta 4 when it came out today. I like being able to customize the shortcut icons. I customized the highlighter icon to HL and collections to Col and text comparison to TC. The old icons were not always easy to distinguish. As others have already noted the print features are also greatly welcomed.

Thanks Rick, I made a filter using Swanson's Greek N.T. also. I had no idea there were so many "deponent" verbs. Thanks Dave, the link was enlightening. For me, seminary was twenty five years ago. Logos has really helped me begin to use the original languages more and bring me up to date on more recent scholarship.
