  • Re: Sermon editor word count?

Excellent. I just missed it since it's a lighter gray color. Many thanks.

  • Sermon editor word count?

Before upgrading to Logos 9 I used to have a running word count in my sermon editor. Now, I don't see it. Did it get removed? Am I missing something? Is there a way to enable it again?

  • Been seeing general flakiness, app crashing, etc.

For the past year or so I've been putting my sermons in the Sermon editor, the last month I've been actually using it to write my sermon, and export to Proclaim. The past month or so I've basically been writing it in the sermon editor, as the outlining features seem to be getting better. I've noticed that when I try to open a sermon in my iPad's app

Excellent...thank you! Sounds like I just need to get my sound guy to add me to the group.

Thanks for the response. Now...do I have to buy Proclaim for my local PC? The license the church has isn't good enough? Can I use their license with my Logos software?

  • How do I export to Proclaim under a different email?

I have my LOGOS account that I've been using for several years now. The church has its own license for Proclaim, under a different email. I want to use the Sermon Editor and export to Proclaim to use for their account. How do I do that?

  • Re: Crashing - Sermon Editor

Mine started crashing for the first time today. I think I figured it out: I will typically do my sermon outline in Microsoft Word, then paste it into Logos Sermon Editor to make my powerpoint slides. I wish Logos would allow me to do better outlining, but that's another issue. On one of the points, I had thought I'd possibly remove it, so I had highlighted

  • Sermon editor not creating a slide for selected reference

The past several weeks I've done my outline and then pasted it into sermon editor. I go to a selected Bible reference, hit the "Add Slides from Selected reference" button and my slide gets created. I move on to the next, and all is well. Today, I notice that nothing happens. The only way I can create a slide is if I select "Add slides from selected

  • Re: Sermon Editor: PRINTING Handouts and Questions

I completely agree---it needs to be more configurable. WHATEVER size one wants, it should not be locked on to a full size paper size. What I did was take a standard 8.5 x 11, set to landscape format, and 2 columns. I then copied and pasted into the Word doc and used a paper cutter to cut the inserts. It would have been nice if it was able to just print

  • Re: New Feature: Sermon Editor

I'm figuring it out. It is just DIFFERENT than what would seem intuitive. But I'm getting it. I can see that it has a lot of potential....and I'm sure it will get better as time goes on.

  • Handouts

I'm having a terrible time trying to make the "Handouts" feature functional. I just don't get it. I try to do a "fill-in" and the answer doesn't appear under "handout" whether or not I click "hid answers". I fail to see the point for it. It is just clunky and doesn't seem to be any better than opening up a Word doc and making my own. Perhaps my understanding

We REALLY need to be able to add images other than in LOGOS to the sermon. It'd be great if we could put a URL in and grab something off the web.

Is there a way to get some outline for, acting like in Word? I like to use Roman numerals for my main points, then add su points under each as in outline form. The current editor just seems clunky. M I'm just missing how to do it. I would also say that we RALLY need a read only way to peach off of it in the iPad.

  • Re: LOGOS indexing

Thank you, Dan. I assumed it was like that. Richard--I knew we needed it, but wasn't sure what LOGOS would do to an SSD. I've been running one in my laptop for a year or two now with no problems...and just dropped one in my desktop that I now use primarily in my office.

  • LOGOS indexing

I have an SSD in my LOGOS machine. I know I'm supposed to turn off windows indexing with an SSD...but what about LOGOS indexing? Anyone know? Is it the same thing? I suspect the answer is no, it's not an issue, but figured I'd ask if anyone knows.

  • "Pin" a pane, or reading window open

I'm an IT guy...in Visual Studio or SQL Server Management Studio, you can "unpin" a window, and it slides shut--giving more reading room to the rest of the windows. You can mouse over it and click on a "pin" icon to pin it open. Just a thought, but rather than closing an area, allow us to minimize it, or "unpin" it? No idea if that is doable...just

Cool....figured as much...I know that Windows will keep the patch files around even after updating...just curious if LOGOS would do the same.

So are these updates continuously eating up my hard drive space? It seems that it's 38 mb here....380 mb there.....in time it adds up. Do I need to worry about having 50 gb of hard drive space for my LOGOS install in a few months?
