It’s been months since I have visited the forums so my apologies if this has been addressed. I was looking for help and suggestions for my highlights. Should I select “most recent highlight“ notebook? I have noticed for some reason my highlights have occasionally slipped into my “Covenant” notebook which is where I place my seminary notes for each monograph

I just completed the survey and am very excited for the results! Thank you, Phil! TSC

I know there have been numerous posts on the use of notes and clippings. Therefore, I am not looking for "how to's" on the functionality of these tools, but simply ideas to better utilize what I have. For instance, some pictures of layouts or ideas on workflow. I know about the videos available, so I am looking for forum user suggestions. Currently

By purchase, I mean put in the cart for FREE!!!! Thank you, FL!!!

I was desiring to keep the recommendations continuing; therefore, I am wondering what others have purchased? Just when I think I have a book picked out, I notice other great choices (Whitefield, Owen, Spurgeon, Puritan Sermons...).
There is a nearby church that keeps having garage sales, and the pastor keeps putting good books in there. I can buy an armload of books for a dollar or sometimes less.
I wouldn't mind stopping by this garage sale!!!

Just a side note: Dr. Lawson refers to S. Lewis Johnson as "the best preacher you have never heard of." Of course w/ Dr. MacArthur and Dr. Lawson mentioning him, I would imagine this might not be the case anymore. Thanks for the index.

Perhaps a little off topic, but I am looking at fountain pens for journaling and note taking. Any recommendations for a beginner? Thanks in advance!

I purchased this set a couple of months ago after being on the fence about it, because of cost. I actually called and was discussing the NIVAC set w a representative. If you are interested in this set I would call before buying online. In my experience the faithlife team has always been helpful. By the way, I ended up getting both sets!

I did also want to include this screenshot which shows how I have clicked on what resource/collection I want to search from. I would suggest learning about how to manage your "collections" also. You can do this on the wiki page (there is a link at the top of the forum site). Welcome to the Forums (feel weird saying that since I have only posted 12 times

While I am not good at drawing the arrows for the steps, hopefully, this screenshot will help you. Someone may have a better way to fine tune your search, but it seemed to do the trick quite nicely. Hope it helps, Sean

Mr. Clark, Thank you for your screenshot, it is a tremendous help! Sean

Thanks so much for all the help, gentleman! Alabama, My apologies for not being more specific, by "book" I meant a biblical book. Which as I think through your approach it seems to be better organized and simpler. One passage, one commentary, one note, sort by "reference." If I imagine my desk with a bible, a highlighter, and multiple study helps, I

I am having a very hard time understanding how to organize my notes, perhaps a screen shot of what this particluar process with the Book of the Bible/Commentary option looks like may help, if that would be feasible. I am still trying to figure out what works best for me. Typically, I just create a note file for a particular book and then start reading

I am also surprised this has not cleared CP yet.
Holly - Welcome to the forums! Thanks for your insights on commentaries. FYI - when you are responding to a post, it is often helpful to see when the post was created. You can find this info just to the right of the persons username in the post.
This is an oldie, but goody discussion Imagine my surprise this afternoon

I am constantly amazed at the down to earth quotes Vance Havner used. I find myself quoting him more and more, a few quotes: Multitudes throng the Lord at church on Sunday. How many really touch Him? Preaching the truth makes people either sad, mad, or glad. Too many people today leave the church on Sunday neither sad, mad, nor glad; they go out as

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I searched the forums before I posted, but I failed to check the wiki page :) Have they proved useful for you, personally, in the past? I am a book junkie (umm.... hoarder) so I will never get rid of them, but it does help to get suggestions. Yes, I know the first step is admitting you have a problem Thanks, Sean

I recently was looking at my orders history and came across the Richmond-Times Dispatch that I downloaded as a free resource that was offered a few months ago (could have been longer times gets away from me). I was wondering if anybody has found a way to incorporate this massive collection of articles into study or anything? If so how did you utilize
