• Re: Dynamic Pricing Higher than buying resources separately

Ah you beat me to me KS4J! The thing that jumped out at me was the 11 new resources versus the 7 displayed for Jacob. Perhaps you're getting a better deal because of your persistently good attitude in posting on the forums! Colin.

  • Re: Pericopes Dataset: Why do I not own it?

Hi David, thanks for adding your six cents about the six dollars! Of course it doesn't cost $6 in a base package because of the discounted pricing but as we say in the UK "Look after your pennies and the pounds will look after themselves." Colin.

  • Re: Pericopes Dataset: Why do I not own it?

Hi Glenn, Is this one a bit trickier than it seems? It's been almost a month since this was reported. My base package purchases are on hold until this issue is resolved since I don't want to be charged for the pericopes dataset again. Could this be put onto someone's priority list? Thanks, Colin.

Hi Lee, Being awake at a different time from many others, I saw there was a general problem with the site for a while today. For a longer period, the forums and the blog were unavailable. Everything is OK for me now. It's not connected to your update. Colin.

  • Re: A Little Help: What does "Maim. in Retseah, cap. 2." mean?

Hi again Tom, I was thinking about this a little more and noticed that retseah is 'like' a Hebrew word which means murder - this would fit with the context. Maimonides wrote 'The Book of Commandments' which comments on the 613 commands which Jews drew from the Torah. One of those would be on the word 'murder' and cap. can be an abbreviation for 'section

  • Re: A Little Help: What does "Maim. in Retseah, cap. 2." mean?

Hi Tom, I can fill in a little detail. Maim. is an abbreviation for Maimonides - a 12th century Jew also known as Rambam. cap. 2 means chapter 2. Retseah is the title of the book but I haven't been able to find any details about it. Colin
the 30 and 31 (and all other numbers) never hit the line.
I wonder if it did in fact hit the line when the date was announced but when the emails went out informing those who had placed a bid, some of them pulled out. Colin.

  • Re: Just getting my new Boyue e-ink reader set up and noticed that the "low light" mode doesn't work right

Hi Aaron, The 'low light' works fine on mine if I'm in the dark. If it's bright around, it just switches on in the normal 'un-back-lit' mode. If you need it constantly, you can switch it on manually by holding down the refresh button for a couple of seconds (that's the small one on the left hand side). Colin.

Hi Aaron, I'm on my phone and can't multi-task just as well at on my pc but if you search the forum posts for boyue you will find Mark Barnes asking for some help when he got his new. That forum that helped me a lot when mine arrived. Personally I've decided not to install kindle on yet because the page animation when the pages turn is not handled particularly

Thanks for that MJ - clear and logical as ever. You're right, this is not the place for a discussion but I do find your explanation very interesting and I'm glad the subject came up! Shalom, Colin

It's nearly closing time and it has reached $16 - 33.33% off the cross-the-line-price. Happy days! Colin

Lol Dal! MJ certainly knows much more about Roman Catholicism than I do! A quick search online turned up this from the Council of Trent. "If any one saith, that he will for certain, of an absolute and infallible certainty, have that great gift of perseverance unto the end,-unless he have learned this by special revelation; let him be anathema. (Sixth

  • Re: Louis Berkhof writing style?

Hi Anthony, If you read the context closely, he is not in fact speaking about Roman Catholicism. Instead he is speaking about a person identified only by the initials R.C. in the book by Archibald Alexander - Th oughts on Religious Experience. R.C. is certainly not Roman Catholic, since he is reading solid reformed literature and seeking assurance of

Thanks Glenn for taking the time to post such a detailed explanation. Sorry to revive this thread again but I have a couple of comments on your explanation in relation to this case, and I have now figured out why my prices have gone up. I'm hoping you'll be able to make sure it gets fixed. In this case I can say for sure that I didn't return anything

I love community pricing! In the week since crossing the line, we have already managed to reduce the price by 25%, from $24 to $18. $17 is so close - just a day to go.

I had noticed this too. I don't know if this shows up in the library or not. (I couldn't find it in a brief search of mine though I already own it too). As far as I understand though, the prices are calculated based on what we own the license for, not what is actually in our library. So, for example, even if we hide a book or collection, we won't be
Could it be that a resource in the package was on sale individually?
Thanks for commenting and trying to understand this with me. I'm quite new to Logos base packages and perhaps I'm reacting against something which has been standard practice for a long time. However, I was again surprised to find another increase across the board for all of my base package upgrades. That means there have been 2 increases in about 2 weeks!! (I noticed the last one on 16th March). This increase

Hi Mark, I'm really grateful you took the time to update us about this. You have certainly convinced me of the benefits of having a Boyue t62+! Quite apart from being able to use it for reading from my Logos library, I can also install my kindle and an epub reader (since I have many books in those formats), not to mention being able to read pdfs on
