• Re: Personal Book Structure

Thanks for the Replies, they help. Whyndell, I notice in your screenshot (thank you) you have Division I, A., 1., 2., ..., B. ... After the Heading 1 for the first section of a file do you organize the rest of your content with heading 2, etc. Do you start an outline with heading levels? Or do you have a Custom outline created for this purpose?

  • Personal Book Structure

I've built a Personal Book from 3 .docx files. The First has a page title followed by an outline using Word Headings, the last two files have a page title using the Title or Book Title Style followed by general text. The Table of Contents in my PB shows the Title from the Add Book dialogue, the outline in the first file, and nothing else. All content

OneNote all the way. A great tool, use it everyday. OneNote with a Surface Pro is so flexible and usable it amazes me all the time. (iPad Pro with a Pencil seems to be very nice as well, though I've not personally tried it.) Plus, for Logos users, pages can be saved as a .docx files and used to make Personal Books
There's lots about the new Notes that needs to be improved, but one thing it isn't and that's complicated. If anything, it's too simple.
Well, simple doesn't mean intuitive, nor does it mean usable, nor effective. This has been my problem with Notes I cant figure out how to make Notes these things. So I'll look to 3rd

  • Re: Logos 8 Notes/Highlights/Notebooks confusion

I use OneNote as well, though I don't link L8 resources. I do like being able to organize my notes how I wish.

  • Logos 8 Notes/Highlights/Notebooks confusion

I have used Logos for years (version 4), but have used the notes feature so little you could say I don't use it. Every version, I try - but I just can't do it. Sure, I know how to make a note, and now a notebook. I can highlight, etc. What I've always struggled with is the usability of notes taken, for me they are just random bits here and there - no

  • Re: Outline a Book of the Bible

Looks great! I clicked on the image and found myself trying to 'scroll' through you content to look further! Well, I'm a Microsoft Office whiz - I better start thinking of Personal Books more seriously. The one issue I remember having with them earlier was the need to recompile after changes where made in Word. Thanks for the example Michael!

Thanks for the reply, Yes, I know of the Personal Books Tool - though I rarely use it. I'm guessing I'm wanting to see how I've outlined a book as I study within it, not open multiple resources to compare back and forth with. Personal Books may be the best option available at this time.

  • Outline a Book of the Bible

Is there a dedicated tool I can use to outline a book of the Bible (or a section)? I believe I could use multiple notes in a notebook, like "1st Peter Outline" notebook, that seems do-able but disjointed. I could make an outline for the whole book in one note at the beginning of the book - but then I'm stuck with the (awful in my opinion) 1. a. etc

  • Re: Offline?

OK, got it. You need to download the bible you wish to read offline. Duh on me.

  • Offline?

Is the reader (Bible verses) meant to be used offline? I can read a Bible from it's last viewed (online) location, but while offline can not move to another book/verse using the picker or by typing it in. Once I am connected to Wi-Fi it quickly goes to verses by either method. (iPad Pro, iOS 10.3.1)

  • Transfer Control to PowerPoint

When importing slides from PowerPoint I'm presented with two options, Convert to Images and Transfer control to PowerPoint. I've only used the first option (our hymnal is in PowerPoint form to match our hymnal book), what exactly does Transfer control to PowerPoint do, and how would it be used in a Proclaim service?

  • Re: Pasting from Logos 7 Sermon editor to Proclaim Notes

Yes, I have tried this, and it does bring over a bit more formatting. However, Slide editing and arrangement then becomes an issue. I need to spend a great deal of time redoing slides, plus the Onscreen Bible is not supported in the export. (In fact if the OSB could be embedded in the slide text, like you are able to with a bible slide "[[Ge 1:1]]"

Why do I lose all formatting (Bullets, Heading Level, etc.) when I paste my notes from The Sermon Editor (Logos 7) into the Notes tab of a slide?

If I go to 'Tools >> Media >> Logos Verse of the Day' I can click on the artwork shown, then select 'Save as' to save the image to my computer. Is there a way to select and save multiple images at once?

Feature Request: Give us a 'Visual Filter' for the differing components in a Sermon Document. This way we could turn on or off things such as Prompts, Questions, or Handouts. This would keep what I want to see on Screen - for instance I would like to use/export the Text View to speak from, but 'Prompts' are not shown while in All View things such as

Hey Peter, I spoke with Tech Support, they were able to replicate the issue. They will also start a ticket for the issue. There is apparently a temporary work-around. If you are in need of it post here and I'll try to explain it.

4010.Proclaim Logs.zip The video backgrounds have stopped working for me. In the Media Browser the preview still works. I apply a video background to the current item, it loads like it normally would (loading graphic), but a still background is all I see. Windows 10 Surface Pro 4
