Yes, that’s very helpful. Thanks. To add to this, I see that iOS offers title, rating and recent as options for library sorting. I haven’t rated anything so the default for me will be Recent.

Somewhere on the last row, it gets irrelevant.

Mostly. Yesterday I switched to light as I was working with a Google doc and it helped to have consistency visually. I wish this could be done without a program restart as the mobile app can do it on the fly.

During special offers, whole commentary sets go for prices like 399, 599, 799... The NIVAC series is now going for $500. Still a sizeable investment, but that’s the range you can expect. I beg to differ on the value of individual commentaries from a series. That’s how I purchase commentaries. Volumes in a series are not equally regarded

Steven,
This is, by far, my biggest complaint of Logos and FL. The ridiculous price of commentaries. .... there is no harm in putting together an actually functional base package that has several free commentaries in it for us "less fortunate" (translated CHEAP!).
The last I checked, prices were comparable between

Hello Alan. I understand your unhappiness at Wordsearch no longer being continued.
Good grief! Logos is such a cumbersome beast compared to Wordsearch. Why does it need to index EVERY TIME I open the app?
Yes, I agree Logos is indeed 'heavier' and bothersome. I have found it irritating. You can reduce the indexing

Tes, as Dave has evaluated, the upgrades might not be easy for you. If you buy an SSD, RAM, and perhaps need to pay someone to do the upgrades for you, it may be good to compare that cost to the cost of a used computer that has suitable specifications, within your budget?
-
I would say the SSD is the more important upgrade. Program load and indexing will be much faster. More RAM will be needed when opening multiple resources, guides, searches etc.

I’m optimistic about a Windows 10 upgrade for your computer, having done so on other similar Windows 7 systems as recently as last month. However, one system could not complete an in-place upgrade and I had to do a clean install. It has worked well after that. Other systems usually upgrade without issues. I would recommend trying due to potential

What about the graphics? A good discrete graphics component is desirable for video editing. If big or complex video projects are expected, I’d lean toward the 32gb RAM.
-
We really do not need a startup sound! It’s like dark mode - should have been implemented last release.
-
I should also mention that the upgrade to 10 is still available from MS, and I’d strongly recommend it as Win 7 is less safe to use now. What I did last week on a 10 year old laptop was to do a test install on a partition to confirm compatibility before replacing the main Win 7 install with Win 10. Have you tried that?
-
Windows 7 and 10 have almost identical system requirements. I’ve upgraded laptops from 2010 to Windows 10 successfully. They are stable and can run L8. Is there a specific incompatibility you’ve run into that prevents a Windows 10 upgrade?

And if you're using the mobile app, it's in the [...] menu, View Settings, Bible Text Only (set to Off so as NOT to hide the numbers)

Thanks Graham. I realized I had the NASB95 in verse format and could get the same text in paragraph format separately.
I think that I will simply keep my old WordSearch program and use it till it falls apart. Maybe by then, Tecarta or some other bible-software company will emerge as a competitor to Logos and its slow, clunky software.
It seems you are using WS on Windows. If so, that is a good solution for you. Unfortunately, Mac

Hi Theo. Interesting question! I think the forums are for Logos-related issues, not ‘content’ issues. So for example I would point you to the Passage Guide to see what it brings up. Or you could use the Factbook if you have that.
-
What about a Pixel XL? Potentially better/longer support for system updates.
-
Graham is right, by WS I meant Wordsearch.
Everything I have read would indicate that Faithlife undertook, not to do maintenance of the program but to maintain the existing program's availability on the internet, for a while.
Mike, that's the impression I got, too. Speaking of unmaintained programs, and since this thread is about the mobile app, I just had
